WoW Forever Paladin Abilities and Spells by Level
A Paladin in WoW Forever trains 47 abilities between levels 1 and 60, and Forever gives it four spells Classic never had. Holy Strike arrives at 6, Seal of Fury at 10, Voice of Truth at 20 and Hammer of the Righteous at 40, and Consecration and Blessing of Kings are now trainer spells at level 20 instead of talents. Righteous Fury comes at 10 instead of 16, so a Paladin can tank from the first dungeon. In exchange, Blessing of Salvation, Blessing of Light and Sense Undead are gone.
Set your level in the planner below: it hides what you already know and shows what you learn at that level and at the next visits. Under it, the same data is written out level by level: every new Paladin ability and every stronger rank from 1 to 60, the key abilities and when you get them, what changed against Classic, the spells that come from talents, and the full Paladin spell list for each specialization.
WoW Forever Paladin Abilities by Level
A Paladin in WoW Forever has 47 abilities with trainer ranks: 43 arrive as new spells, and 4 start with a talent point before the trainer sells the higher ranks. The trainer has something for you on 30 levels: level 1, then every even level from 4 to 60, so plan a visit every two levels. The tables below split the 1 to 60 journey into six steps; the first column is the level, the second the abilities you learn for the first time, the third the new ranks with their rank number. Abilities marked (quest) come from a class quest rather than the trainer.

What Changed for Paladin Abilities in WoW Forever
Forever turns the Paladin into a real tank from level 10 and frees talent points for everyone. Consecration and Blessing of Kings no longer need a talent, Seal of Fury gives shield users an absorb on every hit, and Hammer of the Righteous hits up to four targets. Blessings now last 1 hour instead of 5 minutes, Seals 40 seconds instead of 10, and Lay on Hands has a 20 minute cooldown instead of an hour.
These 7 abilities moved the most: they are new in Forever, come earlier than in Classic, no longer need a talent, or have a new name.
| Ability | Level | Change against Classic |
|---|---|---|
| Holy Strike | 6 | Not in Classic |
| Righteous Fury | 10 | Rank 1 trained earlier than in Classic |
| Seal of Fury | 10 | Not in Classic |
| Consecration | 20 | A Holy talent in Classic; trained without one now |
| Voice of Truth | 20 | Not in Classic |
| Blessing of Kings | 20 | A Protection talent in Classic; trained without one now |
| Hammer of the Righteous | 40 | Not in Classic |
Another 24 Paladin spells keep their level but have new numbers: damage, healing, cost, cooldown or spell power scaling. Hover a spell in the planner above to see what changed for that exact rank.
Paladin Abilities Removed in WoW Forever
Classic trainers taught these, the Forever trainer does not:
- Blessing of Light (Rank 3), level 60 in Classic
- Greater Blessing of Light (Rank 1), level 60 in Classic
- Sense Undead, level 20 in Classic
- Blessing of Salvation, level 26 in Classic
- Blessing of Sanctuary (Rank 4), level 60 in Classic
- Greater Blessing of Salvation, level 60 in Classic
- Greater Blessing of Sanctuary (Rank 1), level 60 in Classic
Paladin Abilities That Come From Talents
Some Paladin abilities start as a talent. You put the point into the talent tree to get the first rank, and after that the trainer sells the higher ranks like any other spell. Others stay talent-only and the trainer never teaches them. The earliest level is when you can reach that row of the tree with every point in it.
| Ability | Talent tree | Ranks from the trainer |
|---|---|---|
| Seal of Command | Retribution | Rank 2 at 30, Rank 3 at 40, Rank 4 at 50, Rank 5 at 60 |
| Holy Shock | Holy | Rank 2 at 40, Rank 3 at 48, Rank 4 at 56 |
| Holy Shield | Protection | Rank 2 at 40, Rank 3 at 50, Rank 4 at 60 |
| Light's Vigil | Holy | Rank 2 at 50, Rank 3 at 60 |
| Divine Favor | Holy | Talent only, from level 20 |
| Templar's Bulwark | Protection | Talent only, from level 20 |
| Swift Judgement | Protection | Talent only, from level 25 |
| Repentance | Retribution | Talent only, from level 30 |
You can plan these points in our WoW Forever Paladin talents guide, which explains every tree and the builds for leveling, dungeons and PvP.

Paladin Trainer Tips for Leveling
Paladins have many spells with many ranks, so pick your purchases:
- If you plan to tank, level 10 is the key visit: Righteous Fury and Seal of Fury come together.
- Blessings last an hour in Forever, so buy Blessing of Might and Blessing of Wisdom ranks early and stop recasting them every few minutes.
- Resistance auras and Turn Undead can wait until a dungeon or raid needs them.
- Save gold for 40 and 60, two of the biggest visits, with Summon Warhorse at 40 and Summon Charger at 60.
