World of Warcraft: Forever launches on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at 3:00 PM PST, which is 23:00 UTC. It is one global launch rather than a rolling one, so the servers open at the same moment everywhere: 6:00 PM on the US East Coast, 11:00 PM in London, midnight in Berlin and Paris, 2:00 AM in Moscow and late Thursday morning in Australia, which means most of the world outside the Americas actually starts on November 5. Below you'll find a live countdown, the launch time for every major time zone, how to pre-download the client today, what the beta and name reservation tell us about launch-night queues, and every date that matters from the end of the beta to the first raids.
The timer below counts down to the global launch and switches over to your local time automatically, so there is nothing to convert.
Blizzard set the release for November 4, 2026, and confirmed it with the start of pre-purchases. WoW Forever is not a separate purchase: it comes with an active World of Warcraft subscription or game time, so anyone already subscribed can log in the moment the servers open. The editions in the Battle.net Shop are optional upgrades that add the Skyborne race, early name reservation and extra rewards. None of them includes early access: pack owners enter the world at the same minute as everyone else.
The launch is a single moment for the whole world. There is no staggered rollout where the Americas start first and Europe follows a day later. That's worth knowing because the events before launch did open region by region: the October 21 stress test and the October 27 name reservation started at different hours in Europe, the Americas, Korea and Taiwan. Launch night won't. When it is 3:00 PM in Los Angeles, it is already past midnight across most of Europe and morning in Asia and Oceania.

The table converts the official 3:00 PM PST start, 23:00 UTC, into local time. Daylight saving has already ended in both the US and Europe by November 4, so these are standard times, while most of Australia and New Zealand are on summer time.

If you're in Europe and booked a day off, make it November 5. The servers open as November 4 turns into November 5, so the first full day of play falls on the fifth.
Players in Australia and New Zealand play inside the Americas region but connect to Australian-based servers, so the launch lands on Thursday morning for them. Your WoW account still decides your region: a US account plays in the US region, an EU account in Europe, and you can't group with friends in another region.
Launch night is one stop on a longer schedule. The beta closed on October 23, name reservation runs in the final week before launch, and the first raids open five weeks after it.

Every phase after launch, from the December raids to the spring 2027 update, is laid out in our WoW Forever roadmap.
The level 30 limit only existed on the beta. Beta characters were capped at 30 from September 17 until the beta closed for good on October 23. The live game has no staged level cap: from November 4 every character can level all the way to 60.
Beta characters don't carry over to the live game either, and everything made during the October 21 stress test was wiped. Everyone starts from level 1 on launch night, beta testers included.
The launch version is a full leveling game. The endgame raids arrive later, but everything from level 1 to 60 is there from the first hour.
Raids are the one thing missing at launch. The Barrow Deeps, Hyjal Summit and Onyxia's Lair all open together on December 9, 2026. If you'd rather reach that date already geared, our WoW Forever leveling service takes a character from 1 to 60 for you.
To see every new area on the map, with level ranges and how to get there, check our WoW Forever new zones guide.
You don't have to wait for November 4 to install the game. The live WoW: Forever client has been available in the Battle.net app since around October 22, and Blizzard's name reservation instructions use the same steps. It is a separate game version from the beta, so installing it now means launch night only needs a small patch.
Blizzard asks for a 128 GB SSD in the system requirements. If the Install button is greyed out, check that the right WoW account is selected in the account menu next to the Game Version, since some launchers default to a starter account. If the Play button is greyed out later, your Battle.net app is logged in to a different region than the one you play in: log out and switch the region with the cogwheel icon on the login screen.
Probably, at least for the first hours. Blizzard hasn't promised a queue-free launch, and every test so far drew more players than the servers expected. When the beta opened on September 17, queues reached 17,000 to 22,000 players with wait estimates of up to 48 minutes, and many players were disconnected as soon as they got in. The beta ran on limited test hardware in one region, though, while the stress test and launch use the regional servers built for live play.
Name reservation on October 27 was the closest thing to a rehearsal, and only pack owners could take part. In North America players sat in short queues and were disconnected the moment they reached the front, then landed at the back of the line again. The European start was delayed while Blizzard fixed server problems, and for a while every ruleset showed "no realms available". Some players needed an hour of reconnecting before they could create their characters, then everything worked smoothly.
Blizzard expects hiccups rather than a smooth night. Clay Stone, associate production director on WoW Forever, put it this way in a pre-launch interview:
Layering will stay too. In a statement on October 23, Stone said that "there will always be some amount of layering that occurs within our high-capacity infrastructure" and promised fixes for groups split up after a boat or zeppelin ride and for large groups entering or leaving a capital city, with more improvements "through launch and beyond".
What to do about it, from timing your queue to the login errors you may see on the first night, is covered in our WoW Forever launch day checklist.
A few things can be settled before November 4, and each one saves time once the servers open and the queues start.
The differences between the rulesets, including what happens to world PvP on each, are covered in our WoW Forever Normal vs PvP ruleset guide.
For help choosing a class, our WoW Forever tier list ranks every spec for leveling, dungeons and PvP.
These guides cover what to decide and what to expect before the servers open on November 4.
These are the questions players ask most often about when and how WoW Forever goes live.
WoW Forever launches on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at 3:00 PM PST. That is 6:00 PM EST, 11:00 PM GMT and midnight CET going into November 5.
At 11:00 PM GMT on November 4 in the UK and Ireland, midnight CET in Central Europe, 1:00 AM EET in Eastern Europe and 2:00 AM in Moscow. For most European players the first full day of play is November 5.
On Thursday, November 5: 10:00 AM AEDT in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra, 9:30 AM in Adelaide, 9:00 AM in Brisbane and 7:00 AM in Perth. In New Zealand it is noon.
Yes. It is one global launch at 3:00 PM PST, so the local date and time depend only on your time zone. Unlike the stress test and name reservation, it doesn't open region by region.
No. The upgrade packs include early name reservation, not early play. Everyone, pack owners included, logs in at 3:00 PM PST on November 4.
Now. In the Battle.net app, select World of Warcraft, pick World of Warcraft: Forever in the Game Version menu above the Play button and click Install. Make sure you pick the live version and not the beta.
On Friday, October 23, 2026, at 10:00 AM PDT. The beta opened on September 17 with a level 30 cap, stayed open after the October 21 stress test, and beta characters do not carry over to the live game.
Early Name Reservation runs from October 27 to November 3, 2026. It is included with all three upgrade editions and lets you create up to three characters before launch. Beta and Invite-A-Friend codes don't include it.
Plan for one on the first night. The beta opened with queues of up to 22,000 players, name reservation had queues and disconnects in North America and a delayed start in Europe, and Blizzard itself expects "a technological hiccup or two" when the servers open.
No. An active World of Warcraft subscription or game time is enough. The editions are optional, but the Skyborne race needs the Skyborne Heroic Pack or a higher edition.
On December 9, 2026, five weeks after launch. The 10-player Barrow Deeps, the 20-player Hyjal Summit and the 40-player Onyxia's Lair open together.
