The Barrow Deeps is one of three raids that will become available to players starting December 9, 2026, and one of two that are completely new to World of Warcraft. And while players in the Beta don't yet have access to the raid to study it thoroughly, we already have some information we'd like to share. In the overview below, you'll learn about the backstory of The Barrow Deeps raid, its location, and the bosses currently known.
Be aware that this article will be updated as new information comes out.
Like the other new WoW Forever raid, Barrow Deeps is tied to the Mount Hyjal zone and takes the form of an ancient elven prison, where wardens held the most dangerous members of their own people and hostile creatures. We can almost certainly expect plenty of nods to past events — or even long-familiar characters — among the bosses, so all that's left is to wait for new information to appear.
It's already known that the Barrow Deeps raid will have three entrances at once — one of them almost certainly located within the Mount Hyjal zone, though there are player reports that one of them will also be tied to the furbolg territory of Blackmaw Hold. As soon as detailed information is made public, we'll list all the entrances and their coordinates.
Right now it's unknown whether WoW Forever will require special access to unlock Barrow Deeps. However, given the developers' focus on questing and world exploration, we can almost certainly expect an attunement. We'll update our article as soon as new information becomes available.
There is no official list of bosses from the developers right now. However, dataminers and enthusiasts have managed to dig up an unconfirmed but preliminary lineup of encounters from the raid:
As soon as more information appears, we'll recheck and refine the list, and expand the current article with detailed tactical tips and loot from each boss.
We hope our article was useful to you. Don't forget to learn more about the developers' plans for the game in our WoW Forever Roadmap, and be sure to check out the other raids that will be available starting December 9, 2026.
