WoW Forever First Aid

First Aid in WoW Forever is a secondary profession, so every character can learn it without using one of the two primary profession slots. The familiar bandage progression is still here, but Forever also moves the standard healing potion line into First Aid. That gives you more options while leveling than the old Classic route.

This WoW Forever First Aid leveling guide covers the full 1-300 path, two different Apprentice routes, trainer locations, the Expert First Aid books, the Artisan Triage quest, and all materials needed for each skill range.

WoW Forever First Aid Overview

First Aid is worth picking up on every character because it does not consume a primary profession slot. You can level it with traditional bandages or switch to the new healing potion recipes when those materials are cheaper. The biggest Forever change is simple: healing potions such as Minor Healing Potion, Superior Healing Potion, and Major Healing Potion are crafted through First Aid instead of Alchemy.

Buying both the cloth route and the potion route wastes gold. Pick one Apprentice path and commit to it.

WoW Forever First Aid Materials

The shopping list below follows the main 1-300 route used in this guide: bandages from 1-225, then Superior Healing Potion, Heavy Mageweave Bandage, Runecloth Bandage, and Major Healing Potion from 225-300. Yellow and green recipes may need extra crafts, so keep a small reserve.

The 1-75 healing potion route is an alternative to the opening Linen Cloth route, not something you buy in addition to it. If the potion route is cheaper on your realm, replace the first 130 Linen Cloth with 81 Peacebloom, 81 Mild Spices, and 81 Empty Vial.

Books and manuals are separate from the material totals. Before reaching the relevant ranges, make sure you have Expert First Aid - Under Wraps, Manual: Heavy Silk Bandage, Manual: Mageweave Bandage, Manual: Superior Healing Potion, and Manual: Major Healing Potion.

First Aid Trainer Locations

Apprentice First Aid has no character-level requirement. The same standard trainers can also teach Journeyman First Aid once you reach 50 skill.

Apprentice First Aid 1-75

The whole Apprentice bracket can be leveled with either bandages or healing potions. Check your realm prices first, then choose one route instead of buying materials for both.

Option 1: Bandages 1-75

Option 2: Healing Potions 1-75

Mild Spices are sold by Cooking Supply vendors, while Empty Vials come from Alchemy Supply vendors. Buy both from vendors instead of paying Auction House prices.

Journeyman First Aid 75-150

Train Journeyman First Aid at 50 skill before reaching the 75 cap. After that, continue with the bandage route below.

Expert First Aid 150-225

Learn Silk Bandage from your trainer before heading out for the Expert books. This is the final recipe taught by the standard trainer before the Expert section.

How to Learn Expert First Aid

At First Aid 125, buy Expert First Aid - Under Wraps. Alliance players get it from Deneb Walker in Arathi Highlands. Horde players buy it from Balai Lok'Wein in Dustwallow Marsh.

Buy all three books during the same trip:

• Expert First Aid - Under Wraps
• Manual: Heavy Silk Bandage
• Manual: Mageweave Bandage

If Mageweave Cloth is much more expensive than Silk Cloth on your realm, you can keep making Heavy Silk Bandage to 225 instead. Expect roughly 42 additional crafts, using about 84 Silk Cloth.

Buy the Expert book and both manuals in one trip. Forgetting a manual means another long run or an Auction House markup.

Artisan First Aid 225-300

To progress past 225, complete the Triage quest at First Aid 225 and character level 35. Horde players go to Doctor Gregory Victor at Hammerfall in Arathi Highlands. Alliance players need Doctor Gustaf VanHowzen in Theramore, Dustwallow Marsh.

How to Complete the Triage Quest

1. Press CTRL + V to show patient health bars, or enable NPC names in the interface options.
2. Zoom the camera out so you can see as much of the room as possible.
3. Put the Triage Bandages provided by the doctor on your action bar. Use those bandages, not your normal First Aid bandages.
4. Stand near the middle of the room and prioritize Critically Injured patients.
5. After saving 15 patients, turn in the quest immediately instead of waiting while more patients die.

First Aid 225-300 Leveling Route

WoW Forever First Aid Leveling Tips

• Use the potion route from 1-75 only if Peacebloom plus vendor reagents is cheaper than 130 Linen Cloth.
• Do not leave the Expert vendor after buying only the rank book. Pick up Manual: Heavy Silk Bandage and Manual: Mageweave Bandage at the same time.
• If Mageweave is overpriced at 210-225, continue with Heavy Silk Bandage instead.
• Bring the materials you need before traveling to the Artisan doctor. Both Heavy Mageweave Bandage and Runecloth Bandage are learned there during the final bracket.
• Yellow and green recipes can require extra crafts. Treat the shopping-list totals as estimates, not guaranteed exact quantities.
