WoW Forever Razorfen Kraul Guide

Updated 15 Oct 2026 | Author: Kir | ~11 min

Razorfen Kraul is the quillboar warren in the south of The Barrens, grown from the thorns of the demigod Agamaggan. It is one of the most popular dungeons of the 30s in WoW Forever: the route is short, both factions have quests here, and the last boss, Charlga Razorflank, starts a chain that continues in Razorfen Downs. The dungeon is tuned for levels 30 to 40.

Razorfen Kraul is not open on the WoW Forever beta yet, so this guide covers the original version of the dungeon: how to get there, every quest, all eight bosses and the loot. The Forever database already shows seven new boss drops, among them Roogug's Severed Head, a trinket that fears quillboar, and new quest rewards such as the Quilboar Blaster. We describe everything known so far and will add the rest after the November 4 launch.

Where Is Razorfen Kraul and How to Get There

Razorfen Kraul sits in the far south of The Barrens, on the west side of the road just before the Great Lift down to Thousand Needles. Horde players fly to Camp Taurajo and ride south along the road. The instance portal is inside the thorn maze, past a few quillboar camps that are easy to clear at this level.

For Alliance players, the trip is longer. The quickest routes are the boat from Booty Bay to Ratchet or the boat from Menethil Harbor to Theramore, followed by a ride south through the Barrens. Night elves can also come down from Feralas through Thousand Needles and take the Great Lift up.

Razorfen Kraul Quests

Razorfen Kraul has seven dungeon quests. Two are open to both factions, two are Alliance-only and three are Horde-only. The quests to prioritize are The Crone of the Kraul for Alliance and A Vengeful Fate for Horde: both ask for an item from Charlga Razorflank and pay a choice of Berylline Pads, Stonefist Girdle or Marbled Buckler, plus the new Quilboar Blaster.

Quests for Both Factions

Both factions can do the tuber quest and the escort, and they pair well on one run:

Quest Level Quest Giver Objective Reward
Blueleaf Tubers 26, requires 20 Mebok Mizzyrix in Ratchet Open the Crate With Holes inside to summon a gopher and use the Snufflenose Command Stick on it to dig up six Blueleaf Tuber A Small Container of Gems
Willix the Importer 30, requires 22 Willix the Importer in a tent near the end of the dungeon Escort Willix out of the Kraul through a few quillboar ambushes Monkey Ring, Snake Hoop, Tiger Band or the new Boar Signet

Take the Snufflenose Owner's Manual and the command stick from the crate next to Mebok Mizzyrix. Many tubers grow along the escort path of Willix the Importer.

Alliance Quests

The two Alliance quests both end outside the dungeon:

Quest Level Quest Giver Objective Reward
Mortality Wanes 30, requires 25 Heralath Fallowbrook, behind the last boss Recover Treshala's Pendant from the quillboar and return it to Treshala Fallowbrook in Darnassus Mourning Shawl, Lancer Boots or the new Sentinel's Boots
The Crone of the Kraul 34, requires 29 Falfindel Waywarder on the Feralas border, after Lonebrow's Journal from the dead dwarf at the Great Lift Kill Charlga Razorflank and bring back Razorflank's Medallion Berylline Pads, Stonefist Girdle or Marbled Buckler, plus the Quilboar Blaster

Horde Quests

The Horde quests start in Thunder Bluff, the Undercity and from a boss drop:

Quest Level Quest Giver Objective Reward
A Vengeful Fate 34, requires 29 Auld Stonespire in Thunder Bluff Bring Razorflank's Heart from Charlga Razorflank Berylline Pads, Stonefist Girdle or Marbled Buckler, plus the Quilboar Blaster
Going, Going, Guano! 33, requires 30 Master Apothecary Faranell in the Undercity Bring one Kraul Guano from the bats in the last part of the dungeon Experience, and it opens Hearts of Zeal in Scarlet Monastery
An Unholy Alliance 36, requires 28 The Small Scroll from Charlga Razorflank Take the scroll to Varimathras in the Undercity The chain continues in Razorfen Downs and ends with a good weapon

Warriors have one more reason to come: Roogug is part of the class armor quests Brutal Armor and Fire Hardened Mail.

Shamans need Charlga too: Elemental Aid for Alliance and Elemental Aid for Horde ask for the Tattered Note from Charlga Razorflank. It is the dungeon step of the level 30 class chain that ends with Rage of the Storm, and we cover the rest of it in our WoW Forever Shaman weapon quest guide.

What We Already Know About Razorfen Kraul in WoW Forever

The Forever database already lists the dungeon with its loot and quests. The bosses show no changes so far, but the Razorfen Spearhide guards next to Overlord Ramtusk are now regular elites instead of rare elites. Most items got new stats, and the dungeon has a full set of new drops.

New Loot in Razorfen Kraul

Five bosses already have new rare drops, each at around 2 to 3%:

Item Boss What It Does
Roogug's Severed Head Roogug Trinket that horrifies and silences all Swine within 15 yards for 5 seconds
Thornweaver Drape Roogug Caster cloak with Spell Power and Spirit
Geomancer Headdress Roogug Leather healer helmet with Nature Resistance
Death Prophet Spine Aggem Thorncurse Caster staff with 34 Spell Power and mana regeneration

Quillord Mail Leggings Overlord Ramtusk Mail legs with 2% chance to block with a shield
Quilrager Throwing Axe Agathelos the Raging Thrown weapon with Strength and bonus armor

Reworked Loot With New Effects

Almost every old drop has new stats. The biggest changes are new effects and a few items that switched roles:

Item Classic WoW Forever
Thornspike Plain common dagger Rare dagger that hurls spikes for 45 Physical damage and jumps to a second enemy
Agamaggan's Clutch Ring with Stamina and Spirit Also increases your movement speed by 3% in the Barrens, Thousand Needles and both Razorfen dungeons
Swinetusk Shank One-hand dagger for melee Main-hand caster dagger with 40 Spell Power
Death Speaker Scepter Mace with 11 healing Mace with 68 healing, Shadow damage and health regeneration
Staff of the Shade Shadow damage 21 Shadow damage 37 and Stamina
Ferine Leggings Strength and Agility Attack Power and Intellect, a better fit for Shamans and Druids

Tusken Helm is now a tank helmet with bonus armor and Strength, and Wind Spirit Staff became a healing staff. The Nightstalker Bow gained Shadow Resistance.

Quest Reward Changes

The Crone of the Kraul and A Vengeful Fate now give every player the Quilboar Blaster, a rare gun, on top of the usual choice. Willix the Importer adds the Boar Signet, a ring with 1% block chance, and Mortality Wanes adds the Sentinel's Boots, mail boots with Strength and Spirit. The old ring rewards from Willix became rare and gained Spirit.

Razorfen Kraul Bosses and Strategy

Razorfen Kraul has eight bosses, two of them optional. The Kraul is a maze of narrow paths, and most wipes come from extra pulls, so mark targets and pull carefully. The trash with the most impact is the Razorfen Totemic with Earthgrab Totem and the Razorfen Dustweaver with Enveloping Winds: kill totems first and keep the healer away from Dustweavers.

Roogug

Roogug is optional and stands near the start with an earth elemental at his side. He casts Lightning Bolt and summons more elementals with Summon Earth Rumbler. Clear the area first, banish or crowd control the elemental, and interrupt the bolts. He drops the new Roogug's Severed Head, Thornweaver Drape and Geomancer Headdress.

Aggem Thorncurse

Aggem Thorncurse is a tank and spank fight with one rule: when he uses Summon Boar Spirit, switch to the boar and kill it before you return to him. He drops Thornspike and the new Death Prophet Spine and Thorncursed Grips.

Death Speaker Jargba

Death Speaker Jargba pulls with two casters, and this is the hardest fight of the first half. He uses Dominate Mind on a player and casts Shadow Bolt. Crowd control at least one caster, ideally both, then burn Jargba down quickly to end the mind control. He drops Death Speaker Robes, Death Speaker Mantle and Death Speaker Scepter.

Overlord Ramtusk

Overlord Ramtusk fights with two Razorfen Spearhide guards, whose Whirling Barrage hits hard. Crowd control both guards if you can, then focus Ramtusk while the healer handles Thunderclap. He drops Tusken Helm, Corpsemaker and the new Quillord Mail Leggings.

Agathelos the Raging

Agathelos the Raging is a large boar that hits the tank very hard. He uses Rushing Charge and Enrage at low health. The whole fight is about keeping the tank alive, so save cooldowns and potions for the last 30%. He drops Ferine Leggings, Swinetusk Shank and the new Quilrager Throwing Axe.

Blind Hunter

The Blind Hunter is a rare bat in the Bat Cave and does not always spawn. His Sonic Burst silences everyone nearby, so casters stop casting when it comes. He is also a popular pet for Hunters. He drops Stygian Bone Amulet, Nightstalker Bow and Batwing Mantle.

Earthcaller Halmgar

Earthcaller Halmgar is optional and fights with an earth elemental. He puts down an Earthbind Totem, casts Lightning Bolt and calls more elementals with Summon Earth Rumbler. Kill his totems, banish the elemental if you can, and focus Halmgar. He drops Whisperwind Headdress and Wind Spirit Staff.

Charlga Razorflank

Charlga Razorflank waits in a hut above the last area. Pull her down and fight on the platform below. She casts Chain Bolt, heals herself with Renew and becomes immune for a short time with Purity, so spread out, interrupt and dispel. She drops Agamaggan's Clutch, Heart of Agamaggan, Pronged Reaver and the Small Scroll, and she is the target of The Crone of the Kraul and A Vengeful Fate.
