Spark of Dreams is the new Required BoP Reagent for all Season 3 of Dragonflight Epic Quality gear. If you are familiar with Season 1 or Season 3, this replaces the old Sparks: Spark of Ingenuity and Spark of Shadowflame. Because they are BoP, the buyer must provide them when ordering an item through the new Crafting Order System, even if it is a Personal Crafting Order. This means you can only craft a new piece of Epic Quality gear or upgrade an existing Season 1 piece of Epic Quality gear every two weeks. Spend your Spark of Dreams wisely!
Your first Spark of Dreams comes from Guardians of the Dream Campaign Tutorial Quest, Dreams Unified. You must find an additional Splintered Spark of Dreams and turn it in. In return, you will receive x2 Splintered Spark of Dreams, which can be combined with x250 Flightstones to create your first Spark of Dreams.
There are two ways to earn Splintered Spark of Dreams:
After you complete one of the two methods above, you will complete Dreams Unified. Once you turn in the quest, you will be rewarded with x2 Splintered Spark of Dreams which can combined with x250 Flightstones to craft your first Spark of Dreams!
Earning additional Spark of Dreams works very similar to your first Spark; however, there will be no more quests to follow. Each week you will have to complete one of the two methods that we mentioned before: Weekly Renown Quest or Weekly PvP Quest. This will earn you x1 Splintered Spark of Dreams per week. Since you need x2 Splintered Spark of Dreams to make a full Spark, you will earn an additional Spark of Dreams every two weeks indefinitely.
You will only earn one Splintered Spark of Dreams weekly from either Weekly Renown Quest OR Weekly PvP Quest. Completing both methods will not reward you with more Sparks.
If you decide to start a new alt in the middle of Season 3 or accidentally miss a week of progress, an alt catchup system is in place, so you will not be punished for missing a weekly. Splintered Spark of Dreams will have a chance to drop from various activities until your character catches up to the current spark count.

Your first Spark of Dreams will be available after Patch 10.2 launches. From there, you will receive an additional Splintered Spark of Dreams each week, meaning you will receive your second spark on Week 3 of Patch 10.2.
