WoW Mythic+ Routes Guide

Updated 24 Apr 2026 | Author: Kir | ~14 min

Mythic+ routes are pre-planned paths through a seasonal dungeon designed to maximize enemy force percentage (typically 100%) while avoiding unnecessary time-wasting pulls. They are usually tied to seasonal affixes, which can require specific mob placements or skips using crowd control or stealth abilities. Routes can vary by keystone level, as higher keys in some cases demand safer pulls or percentage trimming to avoid dangerous enemy combinations. A good route should balance enemy count, cooldown management, and boss mechanics to complete the dungeon within the timer. In the guide below, we’ll talk about the current Mythic+ season dungeon routes to maximize your dungeon runs convenience.

Midnight Seasonal Mythic+ Dungeons Overview

Be aware that this guide is written for the casual players and PUGs, who want to maximize the convenience during the weekly Mythic+ runs without pointing to the MDI-tier gameplay. The best possible routes require a well-coordinated team and active voice chat during the instances completion, but our guide is dedicated to help players who play the game on their own.

So, let’s talk about the current Mythic+ pool. During the first Midnight season, players can explore four keystones from the new expansion and four legacy ones. Let’s check the Midnight Season One Mythic+ list:

All these dungeons are available on Mythic+ difficulty and required for such valuable achievements as Keystone Master, Keystone Hero, Keystone Legend, and brand-new Keystone Myth. Other four Midnight dungeons will be available on Mythic+ difficulty in the next Mythic+ season.

Before we start, don’t forget to use tools like Mythic Dungeon Tools (MDT) which allow you to share and customize routes with markers, invisibility potions, or death skips.

Don't forget that you can complete any dungeon you wat without learning the routes through our Mythic+ service.

Windrunner Spire Mythic+ Route

The main feature of this dungeon is that most of the time you’ll be fighting enemies in enclosed spaces, so you need to be careful not to accidentally pull extra packs of mobs that could affect your timer. Otherwise, it’s very straightforward: the dungeon gives you no choice in the order of boss encounters and is extremely linear. You’ll most likely prefer to use Bloodlust and Heroism for large pulls rather than the dungeon bosses.

Let’s dive into the Windrunner Spire route specifics:

Magisters’ Terrace Mythic+ Route

Magisters’ Terrace is one of the iconic World of Warcraft dungeons, but only now has it become part of the Mythic+ system thanks to the revamp from the Midnight expansion. As with the previous dungeon, your main goal during the run will be to carefully focus on mob packs — nearly half of them will need to be skipped in order to save time. This is especially necessary in open spaces densely packed with enemies. You’ll also want to use Bloodlust and Heroism on mob packs rather than on bosses, with the exception of the final encounter.

Talking about the Magisters’ Terrace run more deeply, you will have the following:

Once the main Void creature is dead, your run is over! Learn more about the dungeon bosses, tactics, and rewards in our Midnight Magisters’ Terrace guide.

Maisara Caverns Mythic+ Route

If you were planning to fully clear Maisara Caverns, forget about the timer. The caves are teeming with enemies, and to successfully complete the key, you only need to defeat about a third of them. In this challenge, the most important thing is to move through the dungeon smartly without drawing unnecessary attention — regular mobs won't reward you with anything valuable, but they will take up a significant amount of your time. Don't be afraid to use your major cooldowns on mobs — you'll handle the bosses just fine without them.

So, Maisara Caverns is a quite challenging dungeon. However, there is quick instruction:

It’s time to punish the hostile Amani! Learn more about the dungeon bosses, tactics, and rewards in our Maisara Caverns guide.

Nexus-Point Xenas Mythic+ Route

Unlike the previous dungeons of the season, Nexus-Point Xenas is fairly non-linear, so you can decide for yourself the order in which to kill the bosses, with the exception of the last one. It's also worth noting that there aren't as many mobs in this dungeon as there are in, say, Maisara Caverbs, so during the run you'll end up annihilating nearly every creature that crosses your path. Finally, given the dungeon's layout, be prepared to use Bloodlust or Heroism on two out of three bosses.

So, let’s talk about the most popular and effective route for the Nexus-Point Xenas dungeon:

Algeth’ar Academy Mythic+ Route

Before completing the Algeth’ar Academy dungeon, you should choose the order of the three instance wings. In most cases you will prefer the PUG-friendly sequence: Overgrown Ancient – Crawth – Vexamus route before facing the final boss, Echo of Doragosa. Before engaging any enemies, each player should speak to an NPC to select a permanent Dragonflight buff (such as 5% Haste or 5% Versatility) that lasts the entire dungeon. For higher keystone level runs, this route requires efficient big pulls using your offensive cooldowns, particularly in the Vexamus area, while also utilizing CC abilities or invisibility potions to skip dangerous patrolling mobs.

There is your main milestones during the run:

Now, the Algeth’ar Academy run is done! Learn more about the dungeon bosses, tactics, and rewards in our Algeth’ar Academy guide.

The Seat of the Triumvirate Mythic+ Route

The Seat of the Triumvirate is a pretty straightforward dungeon. An optimal route in instance starts by clearing the four Merciless Subjugators around the first boss, Zuraal the Ascended, as he is immune until they are defeated. After Zuraal, the route requires defeating Rift Wardens to disable nearby rifts, but you must keep the mob within 30 yards of its rift or it explodes for lethal group damage. For the second boss, Saprish, you can use the famous rope-pull skip to save over 30 seconds, and tanks should keep the boss stacked with his two pets since they share a health pool. On Viceroy Nezhar, the route demands a strict interrupt rotation on Mind Blast and positioning him in the center before Bursting Void, as only the area immediately around the boss remains safe.

There is your more detailed tactics during the run:

Once L’ura is defeated, your run is over. Learn more about the dungeon bosses, tactics, and rewards in our The Seat of the Triumvirate guide.

Skyreach Mythic+ Route

Skyreach Mythic+ route is mostly linear due to its platform-based layout, so success depends on smart pulls and positioning rather than complex skips. Before engaging Ranjit, ensure your current route includes interrupting Repel from Driving Gale-Callers and using a soothe on Wrathful Wind from Raging Squalls to prevent group wipes. On Rukhran, you should be focused on quickly killing Sunwing adds away from existing eggs to prevent respawns, and during Searing Quills, everyone must line-of-sight behind the central pillar. For the final boss, High Sage Viryx, the route prioritizes killing the Cast Down add immediately and kiting the Lens Flare beam around the room's perimeter.

Now, let’s take a closer look at your successful Skyreach run:

  • Clear the first platform using Bloodlust or Heroism and ignoring x1 Dread Raven.
  • Clear the second platform and the mobs on the chosen stairway.
  • Kill all mobs on the Araknath platform and pull the boss using Bloodlust or Heroism.
  • Defeat all enemies on the following platform.
  • Kill all mobs on the chosen stairway and on the last boss platform.
  • Now, it’s time to face High Sage Viryx and burn him down.

Don’t forget to get your loot after the fight with High Sage Viryx! Learn more about the dungeon bosses, tactics, and rewards in our Skyreach guide.

Pit of Saron Mythic+ Route

Because Pit of Saron was released long before the Mythic+ mode existed, this dungeon contains a huge number of enemies that you will want to ignore most of the time. And although the fights mostly take place in the open air, your route will be fairly straightforward: from the entrance, fighting through hordes of undead, to the Forgemaster Garfrost boss, then to Ick and Krick, and then to the Scourgelord Tyrannus, killing everything in your path. Most of the time, you won't even need to calculate the percentage of key progression, because you'll most likely end up pulling one or two extra packs along the way.

So, it’s time to discuss the Pit of Saron run route:

There is the lethal strike for the Scourge, congrats! Learn more about the dungeon bosses, tactics, and rewards in our Pit of Saron guide.

Good luck completing the seasonal dungeons, conqueror! And don’t miss our Midnight Mythic+ Overview.
