WoW Ruby Life Pools Loot, Bosses and Rewards

Ruby Life Pools is one of three legacy dungeons pulled into the Midnight Season 2 Mythic+ rotation, and it asks for three bosses inside a 28-minute keystone timer. The run splits in two. The Infusion Chambers below are frost and dragon eggs, where Melidrussa Chillworn holds the Primalist infusion ritual; the Ruby Overlook above turns to fire and storm for Kokia Blazehoof, then for the Kyrakka and Erkhart Stormvein finale above the shrine.

This dungeon is short. Time it once at +10 and Path of the Clutch Defender sits in your spellbook permanently, dropping you at the door from anywhere on an eight-hour cooldown. Kill the last boss and the run hands over a housing decor piece for the Warband, the Valdrakken Hanging Lamp.

How to Get to Ruby Life Pools

The dungeon door sits in the southeast of The Waking Shores, at 60.0, 75.7 on the zone map above. Skip the flight entirely: take the Timeways portal room in Silvermoon City at 42.4, 58.3, where the Ruby Life Pools portal stands in the center of the room.

The three encounters run in a fixed order, and each one is decided by a single mechanic rather than by raw damage.

Twenty pieces of gear drop across the three bosses. They cover every armor type and three trinkets, and item levels scale with keystone difficulty, so the same piece is a Mythic 0 filler on one run and a real keystone target on another. Each row carries the item's secondary stat pair — the part that decides whether a same-slot drop is actually an upgrade.

Ruby Life Pools Trinkets

All three trinkets are worth a look, and they split cleanly by role.

• Ruby Whelp Shell is the famous one. Your spells and abilities can call a Ruby Whelpling that helps in combat, and the Use effect retrains what it does on a one-day cooldown. Melidrussa drops it at roughly 29%, the best rate on her table by a wide margin.
• Blazebinder's Hoof binds for 20 seconds while your attacks stack Strength up to six times, then releases a burnout wave that splits Fire damage between everything nearby. Two-minute cooldown, and it wants a pull to dump into.
• Kyrakka's Searing Embers is the healer piece. Helpful spells create a Burning Ember on an ally that heals and throws split Fire damage at enemies around it.

Published rates on the first two bosses spread widely. They run from about 30% on the Fireproof Drape down to roughly 1.5% on Havoc Crusher, the rarest of them.

Beyond gear the dungeon pays out twice: a housing decor piece and a permanent teleport, with a short achievement list on top where three entries are real challenge runs. No mount drops here. Defeating Kyrakka and Erkhart awards the Valdrakken Hanging Lamp, which binds to the Warband and goes into your housing decor collection.

The three Mythic challenges are best taken on a dedicated Mythic 0 run rather than inside a key. Dragon Kill Points in particular wants whelps left alive and farmed, which is the opposite of what a timer rewards.
