Mistcrests are the gear-upgrade currency introduced in Midnight Season 2, replacing Dawncrests. They come in five track-locked tiers β Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, and Myth β and each tier only upgrades gear on its matching item track. Mixing tiers doesn't work; a Hero-track item requires HΓ©ros Mistcrest specifically, with no crossover between tracks.
Every upgrade rank costs a flat 20 Mistcrests of the matching type, and each item has 6 ranks total β meaning a full 1/6 to 6/6 upgrade burns 100 crests. There's also a weekly cap of roughly 100 Mistcrests per tier per character, which covers about five upgrade ranks per weekly reset.
World Quests, Delves, dungeons, and raids completed depending on the specific crest tier you're targeting. Since each Mistcrest type drops from different content β lower tiers from easier activities, Myth Mistcrest from Mythic raid bosses and high-level Mythic+ keys β our team runs whichever content matches your target crest.
