The Ashenvale PVP event will be triggered by PvP kills in the zone. The event will begin with a zone-wide notification, and a leader will spawn for each faction: Felore Moonray for Alliance and Kazragore for the Horde. Similar to Alterac Valley, there will be smaller camps and outposts set up around the zone where battlefield lieutenants will guard:
Like destroying towers inside Alterac Valley, clearing these encampments and lieutenants is in your faction's best interest and will weaken the opposing faction's leader. The event will conclude when that faction leader, Felore Moonray or Kazragore, is killed.
The Ashenvale World PvP event will promote player activity and community in Season of Discovery. With new rewards, honor, and reputation, it's a great way for level 25 players to gain nice gear outside of raiding Blackfathom Deeps before Phase 2, and the level cap increases to 40. You will get Honor Points for participating in the event and a reputation with their Warsong Gulch faction: Silverwing Sentinels for Alliance and Warsong Outriders for Horde. New BiS PvP gear such as Resilient Cloth Headband, Resilient Leather Mask, and Resilient Mail Coif will be available from each faction's quartermaster, contributing to a level 25 BiS item set. Don't forget about unique new mounts, such as Trainee's Sentinel Nightsaber for Alliance and Trainee's Outrider Wolf for Horde, with familiar Vanilla models that can be bought from the same faction of quartermasters. This 50 % speed, level 25 mount only works in the Ashenvale zone and will be unobtainable in Season of Discovery Phase 2.
By winning SoD Ashenvale PvP Event, you'll earn an item with an on-use World Buff, Ashenvale Rallying Cry, increasing all damage and healing by 5% for 2 hours. It can be saved and used later, such as for a raid.
