You will need to complete the Shifting Scale Talisman quest to collect a Handful of Shifting Scales, x40 Strange Dust, x5 Greater Magic Essence, x2 Small Glimmering Shard, and five gold. After you are done, you will get Shifting Scale Talisman.

If you have been questing in Hillsbrad Foothills, you might have already encountered Ardelle Dralta or Brave Stonetorch. These NPCs will tell you that they have traveled to this place in search of a massive light-wreathed stone that fell from the sky and crashed in the Alterac Mountains. As the Cultist and the tooltip of The Box hinted at The Light as the only way to cleanse its corruption, you will want to head to 89, 74 on the Alterac Mountains map and use the pillar to Destroyed The Box. Doing so will award you a single Shard of the Void for your future crafted item.

Communicating with the Shadowy Figure that spawns next to you is how you will learn the Void-Touched recipes as a reward for a job well done. Make sure to select the "Fine, show me. If only to stop your prattling." dialogue option, as the other one will lock you out of learning the recipes.
