Kindo'jan, the Amani tomb lord waiting at the end of the first Labyrinth in WoW Midnight, opens one of the shortest prestige windows of Season 2. Patch 12.1.5 lands on October 13 in the Americas and October 14 in Europe. From that moment, solo players have one week to beat him on Tier 11 and claim Fabled Let Me Solo Him: Kindo'jan. After the first weekly reset the achievement, and the Fabled Vanquisher title with it, is gone for good.
The kill itself is less brutal than a Tier ?? Nemesis. Per PTR testing the fight has a 10-minute enrage that few players come close to. The real danger is a hidden counter: get hit by three avoidable mechanics and Kindo'jan throws you out of the encounter. Below you will find how to reach him, what each ability and Loa intermission does, the Valeera setup that makes the fight easier, and the mistakes that cost most PTR attempts.
The achievement asks you to defeat Kindo'jan in his Labyrinth on Tier 11 with no other players in your party, before the first reset after his introduction. Valeera Sanguinar comes with you as usual and does not count as a party member. Tier 11 is the top of the Labyrinth ladder, and community testing puts its recommended item level at 309.
If Kindo'jan is open from launch day, the window closes with the next weekly reset. That means Tuesday, October 20 in the Americas and Wednesday, October 21 in Europe. Blizzard has not confirmed whether he unlocks at launch or later, so treat the first week as your only shot.
The same fight feeds four achievements. The table below shows what each one asks for and what it gives, so you can see what a single Tier 11 kill covers.
| Achievement | Requirement | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Fabled Let Me Solo Him: Kindo'jan | Solo Tier 11 kill before the first reset | Fabled Vanquisher title |
| Let Me Solo Him: Kindo'jan | Solo Tier 11 kill during Midnight Season 2 | Loa-Blessed Wayfarer mount |
| The Labyrinth of Kindo'jan: One-Champion Army | All 9 chambers and the Kindo'jan kill on Tier 11, solo, without losing a life | Lone Raider title |
| The First Hash'ey | Defeat Kindo'jan on any tier from 8 up | Loa-Blessed title |
Per PTR data the Fabled title reads “Fabled Vanquisher of The First Hash'ey”, which is Kindo'jan's in-game epithet. Some early previews call it “Fabled Vanquisher of Kindo'jan”, so the final wording may change on live.
A Fabled kill also completes Let Me Solo Him in the same pull, so the mount is guaranteed. Your first Kindo'jan kill on any eligible tier also awards the Loa-Blessed Victory toy. A deathless full run on Tier 11 adds the Lone Raider title on top.
If you would rather not risk the only window, our Fabled Let Me Solo Him: Kindo'jan boost secures the title and the mount before the first reset.
The Labyrinth of Kindo'jan sits north of Amani Pass in Eversong Woods, on the border with Zul'Aman. To open it, follow the campaign and accept The Long Way Around, or fly straight to Tokka's Landing and take The Labyrinth from Kul'amara the Fierce. The intro run is a guided sequence that only lets you through three chambers. After that, full runs are open.
Kindo'jan's room stays sealed until you clear all nine chambers in one run on Tier 8 or higher. A message then points you to the northern chamber, where a mini-boss guards the door. It goes down easily, so save your cooldowns for Kindo'jan. Once you have killed him, later runs only need a short path of about four chambers to reach him again, per PTR testing.
Tier 11 expects near-max Season 2 gear, and community testing lists item level 309 as the target. Survivability matters more than raw damage here. The fight punishes mistakes, not low DPS, so passive self-healing and mobility help any class.
The Labyrinth hands you a large share of your power during the run. Boons from Mislaid Curiosities stay on you into the Kindo'jan fight. They stack health, movement speed, primary stat and secondary stats. For the Fabled attempt, clear every chamber fully, open the locked key room and loot every curiosity bag before you pull the boss.
Valeera is strong in this encounter, and unlike most Nemesis fights she has no deadly interrupt or dispel to miss. Set her as Healer if you struggle to stay healthy, or as DPS so she interrupts the Juggernaut's shield for you. The setup most PTR clears used is listed below.
Corrosive powers from Season 2 Delves also work in the Kindo'jan fight. If you have unlocked two, pair ones that ramp each other up.
We compare every Valeera role, curio and poison in our WoW Midnight Season 2 Delves guide.
Kindo'jan fights in three stages: Phase 1 against him and his adds, an intermission where the four Loa take over, and Phase 2 where both sets of mechanics overlap. He stands still on the northern edge of the platform and does not need you in melee range. His auto-attacks hit lightly, but without passive healing they add up over a 10-minute fight.
The one mechanic that decides the Fabled attempt is Disgraceful Display. Every time an avoidable ability hits you, you gain a stack. At three stacks the encounter simply ends and you are removed from it. There is no extra damage and no warning debuff first. Health and DPS matter far less than clean movement, so play the whole fight around not getting hit.
Phase 1 cycles through four abilities and one dangerous add. The Amani Juggernaut is the add to watch: it shields its allies and can knock you off the platform. The table sums up what each ability does and how to answer it.
| Ability | What it does | How to handle it |
|---|---|---|
| Eruption of Mojo | A circle on you that leaves a permanent pool after about 3 seconds, plus one large and several small circles on the floor | Drop every pool at the edge of the platform so the center stays free for the intermission |
| Whirling Axes | Four axes spin around the room for heavy physical damage | Stand near Kindo'jan when they spawn, then step out as they sweep past |
| Hash'ey's Command | Summons four Amani Headhunters who cast Axe Barrage, a string of circles under your feet | Wait near the boss until the axes are out, then kill the Headhunters in the center |
| Crushing Blow | A large frontal circle with heavy damage that also summons an Amani Juggernaut | Leave the frontal and turn to the Juggernaut |
| Amani Juggernaut | Casts a charge that knocks you far back, and Amani Aegis, which cuts damage to itself and nearby allies by 33% | Never face the charge with the edge behind you; interrupt Amani Aegis every time |
Partway through Phase 1 Kindo'jan vanishes and calls the Loa. PTR reports put this between 70% and 50% health. You cannot damage him during the intermission, so your only job is positioning. The four Loa always come in the same order.
Kindo'jan returns after Jan'alai, and this is the moment for Bloodlust or Heroism. He starts on the northern platform, now covered in your Phase 1 pools, and moves between areas from time to time. His abilities stay the same, but he now adds a random Loa mechanic on top. Expect Whirling Axes during the Nalorakk charge, or Eruption of Mojo while Akil'zon's wind pushes you.
The overlap that ends most attempts is a Juggernaut charge during a Loa mechanic. When the charge is coming, stand so the knockback throws you toward the lane, gap or circle you need, not away from it. Phase 2 then repeats until Kindo'jan dies: kill adds, interrupt Amani Aegis, keep pools at the edge and play each Loa cleanly.
Most failed PTR attempts came from the same handful of mistakes. These tips focus on what keeps you at zero or one stack of Disgraceful Display.
For another Nemesis kill with a deadline, our Azta'rec delve guide breaks down the Season 2 Let Me Solo Him fight step by step.
These are the questions players asked most often about the Kindo'jan solo while the patch was on the PTR.
Tier 11, the highest Labyrinth tier. Unlike Nemesis bosses in regular Delves, there is no Tier ? or Tier ?? version here. You simply pick a tier from 8 to 11.
No. Valeera is your companion and is allowed. Only other players in your party break the achievement.
At the first weekly reset after Kindo'jan goes live. If he is open at launch, that is October 20 in the Americas and October 21 in Europe.
Only for your first kill. After that, a path of about four chambers is enough to reach his room, per PTR testing. For the Fabled kill, a full clear is still worth it for the boons.
The fight ends and you are removed from the encounter. Rewards you already earned in the run stay with you.
The achievement only asks for a Tier 11 Kindo'jan kill. One-Champion Army is the one that requires all nine chambers on Tier 11 without losing a life.
The Labyrinth builds on Season 2 Delves, so these guides cover the rest of the season.
If the first week is too tight for your schedule, our WoW Delves carry covers Labyrinth runs on any tier.
