Voidmancer's Starcarver Mount Guide

Updated 04 Jul 2026 | Author: Invord | ~9 min

The Voidmancer's Starcarver is a sleek, otherworldly void-mech, a pinnacle of domanaar transport technology that once served as a symbol of status and power among high-ranking Voidmancers. Its polished, angular frame, glowing arcane conduits, and silent, gliding movement make it a favourite among collectors who appreciate mounts with a refined, futuristic aesthetic. The flavour text speaks to its mysterious origins: “This pinnacle of Voidmancer transport technology was once a symbol of status and power among high ranking domanaar. After its creator mysteriously vanished, it was viewed as unseemly when used on core worlds gatherings.” For collectors who value prestige and elegance, this mount is a true treasure — a vessel of the void that carries the legacy of the domanaar.

Introduced in patch 12.0.7 “Midnight”, the Voidmancer's Starcarver stands as one of the most sophisticated rewards from the Val zone meta-achievement system. Unlike random drops or rare spawns, this mount is a guaranteed reward for completing the A Trip Around the Stars meta-achievement, a testament to your dedication and exploration of both Val and Naigtal. While the journey requires patience and persistence, the reward is one of the most striking mounts from the Midnight era. For collectors who value reliability over RNG, this mount is a perfect and ambitious goal.

  • Added in patch: 12.0.7 “Midnight”
  • Mount type: Flying
  • Source: Meta-achievement reward
  • Requirements: Level 90, A Trip Around the Stars achievement
  • Minimum time: 2 weeks (weekly zone rotation)

How to Get Voidmancer's Starcarver

Voidmancer's Starcarver

The Voidmancer's Starcarver is obtained by completing the A Trip Around the Stars meta-achievement and purchasing the mount from Kifaan for 15 Voidlight Marl. The meta-achievement requires you to complete six specific achievements across the Showdown zones of Val and Naigtal. This is a 100% guaranteed acquisition — there is no RNG involved, no rare spawns to camp, and no low drop rates to overcome. Simply complete the required achievements, earn the currency, and buy the mount.

Access to Naigtal and Val via the portal in Voidstorm rotates on a weekly schedule. Because of this rotation, A Trip Around the Stars takes a minimum of 2 weeks to complete, as only one of the zones is active each week, rotating between the two each reset. Progress toward earning the meta-achievement is account-wide, so you do not need to earn all achievements on the same character.

The six required achievements for A Trip Around the Stars are:

Each achievement has specific objectives that must be completed in Val or Naigtal. Detailed breakdowns for each achievement are provided in the sections below.

Unlocking the Naigtal and Val Portal

Before you can begin working on the A Trip Around the Stars achievements, you must unlock access to the Naigtal and Val Showdown zones. This is done through a short questline in Silvermoon City.

Pick up the quests Stalkers of the Stars and Veterans of the Great Dark from Riftblade Maella in Silvermoon City. She is located near the Ritual Site and Void Assault vendors.

Coordinates: /way #2393 47.61 51.08 – Riftblade Maella

Riftblade Maella location

After completing and turning in both quests, you will receive the quest To the Voidstorm and Beyond! from Riftblade Maella. Continue the questline until the portal to Naigtal and Val is established in Voidstorm: The Howling Ridge.

Portal location: /way #2405 51.44 71.27

Once the portal is active, the Naigtal and Val Showdown zones will rotate on a weekly schedule. Only one zone is active at a time, so you will need to wait for the rotation to complete achievements specific to each zone.

Into the Stars

To earn the Into the Stars achievement, you need to complete both of the introductory quests for Naigtal and Val.

Naigtal

Overall, there are 2 quests that you will need to complete once you enter Naigtal:

Surveying the Mana-Bog can be picked up from Riftblade Maella at the Umbral Base Camp in Naigtal.

/way #2600 48.36 82.16

Surveying the Mana-Bog

After handing in the Surveying the Mana-Bog quest to Commander Tala'saan, you will be able to pick up the next quest from Commander Tala'saan, A Swampy Welcome to Naigtal. Hand this quest into Riftblade Maella to complete the Naigtal introduction quest.

Val

For Val's half of the achievement, you will need to complete the following 2 quests:

You will be able to pick up the Surveying the Frozen Wastes quest immediately upon entering Val, from Riftblade Maella in the Umbral Base Camp on Val.

/way #2599 59.63 21.42

Riftblade Maella

The quest will lead you to Belath Dawnblade where you should hand in the Surveying the Frozen Wastes quest and then pick up the next quest that she offers, A Frigid Welcome to Val. Hand this quest into Riftblade Maella to earn the Val side of the achievement.

After completing both of the introductory quests for the new Midnight zones, you will gain the Into the Stars achievement.

Prepared for a Showdown

To earn the Prepared for a Showdown achievement, you will need to complete several quests in both Naigtal and Val.

These quests appear to be unlocked each week and will unlock various ways for you to travel across the zone faster.

There are 7 different quests that you will need to complete from both Naigtal and Val:

Frosty Domanaar Politics

In order to earn the Frosty Domanaar Politics achievement, you will need to complete the 3 storylines that are available on Val:

  • Victory Within Hindsight
  • A Shot At The Dark
  • Umbral Title Bout

The starting quests for these storylines can be picked up from various NPCs in the Umbral Base Camp on Val. Check the quest givers in the camp to begin each storyline. Progress through each questline to completion to earn credit toward the achievement.

Climate Strange: Val

To earn the Climate Strange: Val achievement, you will need to complete the Storm Mitigation bonus objective on Val 5 times.

  • Storms appear on the map as bonus objectives.
  • Each storm contains a short objective you must complete to dissipate it.
  • Completing the objective successfully dissipates the storm and awards progress.

The bonus objective can spawn in multiple different spots around Val, so make sure to keep an eye out on your map. Once you have completed the bonus objective, you will need to wait a while until the next one can spawn in. From testing, it takes roughly around 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Storm Mitigation

Showdown Slugger: Val

In order to gain the Showdown Slugger: Val achievement, you will need to find and defeat 6 of the 10 available rares on Val.

  • Rares are marked on the map with a Blue icon.
  • You can track which rares you still need to defeat by clicking the achievement in your Achievements tab to view your remaining progress.
  • None of the rares are particularly difficult, but if you need any help, make sure to use the LFG system in-game to find others who are also looking to earn this achievement.
  • The rares on Val seem to have a 15-30 minute spawn timer and can repeat the same rare multiple times.

Showdown Success: Val

To earn the Showdown Success: Val achievement, you will need to complete 8 different World Quests on Val.

  • Any active World Quests in Val counts toward progress.
  • Each completed World Quest must be unique — you cannot repeat the same one for additional credit.
  • You can track which World Quests you still need by clicking on the achievement in your Achievements tab.

Overall there are 14 different World Quests that you can complete, with a new World Quest spawning every hour. There is no order in which the world quests will spawn, so make sure to keep an eye out for any that you have not yet completed.

Purchasing the Mount

After completing A Trip Around the Stars, the Voidmancer's Starcarver mount will be purchasable from The Consortium vendor Kifaan for 15 Voidlight Marl. Kifaan is located in both the Naigtal and Val Umbral Base Camps.

  • /way #2600 47.80 81.60 – Kifaan Location in Naigtal Umbral Base Camp
  • /way #2599 59.0 19.0 – Kifaan Location in Val Umbral Base Camp

Extra Tips & Common Mistakes

  • Plan around the weekly rotation: Since zones rotate weekly, prioritise zone-specific achievements when that zone is active. The meta-achievement takes a minimum of 2 weeks to complete.
  • Track your progress: Use the Achievements tab to track which quests, world quests, and rares you still need. This helps avoid wasted effort.
  • Don't ignore world quests: World Quests rotate every hour, so you can complete Showdown Success: Val efficiently by checking the map regularly.
  • Complete achievements across characters: Progress is account-wide, so you can complete different achievements on different characters if that is more convenient.
  • Be patient with storms: The Storm Mitigation bonus objectives have a respawn timer of roughly 30 minutes to 1 hour, so plan your farming accordingly.
  • Use LFG for rares: While rares are not particularly difficult, using the Group Finder can speed up the process for Showdown Slugger: Val.

Useful Addons for A Trip Around the Stars

Tracking achievement progress, quests, world quests, and rare spawns is much easier with a few quality-of-life addons. Below are the most useful tools for this grind.

  • RareScanner or SilverDragon: Alerts you when rare mobs spawn nearby. Helps you track which rares you still need for Showdown Slugger: Val.
  • TomTom / Paste: Quickly set waypoints to quest locations, rare spawns, and vendor coordinates.
  • SavedInstances: Tracks which characters have completed which achievements and which zone is currently active.
  • World Quest Tracker: Displays all available World Quests on a single panel, helping you complete Showdown Success: Val efficiently.
  • BTWQuests (with Midnight module): Helps you track complex quest chains like the ones required for Prepared for a Showdown and Frosty Domanaar Politics.
  • Leatrix Plus: Quality-of-life improvements like auto-repair, auto-sell junk, and faster interactions — small time savers that add up over a long grind.

Pro tip: Combine RareScanner with TomTom for maximum efficiency. RareScanner alerts you when a rare spawns, and TomTom helps you navigate to its location quickly.

The A Trip Around the Stars grind requires time, coordination, and persistence across two rotating zones. For players who prefer a guaranteed outcome without the weekly commitment, a professionally managed Voidmancer's Starcarver acquisition service offers a structured alternative to manual achievement farming.
