How to Get Snapdragon Kelpstalker

The Snapdragon Kelpstalker is obtained by reaching Rank 20 with Neri Sharpfin, a follower you can summon in your Nazjatar base. Once Neri reaches Rank 20, she will offer the quest Good Girl, which rewards the mount. This is a 100% guaranteed acquisition — there is no RNG involved, no rare spawns to camp, and no low drop rates to overcome. Simply complete the daily quests with Neri until she reaches the required rank.

Neri Sharpfin is available only to Horde players. Alliance players have their own equivalent follower and mount: the Deepcoral Snapdragon.

Reaching Rank 20 with Neri Sharpfin takes exactly 20 days of completing her daily quests. However, there are several ways to accelerate this process by acquiring items that grant experience to followers, which are detailed in the sections below.

Unlocking Nazjatar – The First Step

Before you can begin leveling Neri Sharpfin, you must first unlock the Nazjatar zone. This requires progressing through the Battle for Azeroth endgame campaign.

Step 1 – Unlock World Quests
You will need to reach level 50 and become Friendly with the three main zone factions of your faction:

• Horde: Voldunai, Zandalari Empire, Talanji's Expedition

Once you have World Quests unlocked, head to your faction's ship in the Port of Dazar'alor. Look for the quest to start the Nazjatar campaign. The starting NPC for Horde is:

• Horde: Nathanos Blightcaller – on the Horde ship in the Port of Zuldazar

Follow the questline, and you will quickly arrive in Nazjatar. Complete approximately 9 quests to finish the introduction. Once Magni Bronzebeard arrives, it is time to start his quest chain, beginning with Essential Empowerment. You will head to the Chamber of Heart in Silithus, then to Neltharion's Lair in Highmountain. Complete the scenario, return to the Chamber, and you will unlock essences for your Heart of Azeroth.

After completing this, you will be sent back to Nazjatar. Follow the available quests until you unlock world quests in Nazjatar. At this point, you will have most features of the zone unlocked and can begin working with your followers.

Summoning Neri Sharpfin as Your Follower

Once Nazjatar is fully unlocked, you can summon followers from your faction hub. To level Neri Sharpfin:

• Speak to Neri Sharpfin in your faction hub and select the option to summon her as your active follower.
• Each day, Neri will offer 3 daily quests that grant experience to her.
• Completing these daily quests is the primary way to level her up.
• Each daily quest grants approximately 1/3 of a level, meaning you will gain roughly 1 level per day from completing all three quests.

Rank 20 is the maximum rank for followers. Reaching it requires exactly 20 days of consistent daily quest completion.

Accelerating Neri Sharpfin's Leveling

While daily quests are the primary source of experience, there are several items and activities that can grant bonus experience to Neri Sharpfin, potentially reducing the 20-day requirement:

• Fathom Ray Wing: Drops from Soundless and other ray mobs in Nazjatar. Grants experience to followers.
• Reefwalker Bark: Drops from Kelpwillow, Anemonar, Urduu, Oronu, and Murkbloom Reefwalker. Grants experience to followers.
• Unusually Wise Hermit Crab and Ominous Looking Tome: Sold by Mrrl (the murloc trader). Requires equipping an Azsh'ari Stormsurger Cape to see this item in his inventory. Grants experience to followers.
• Naga Deployment Orders: Found in Glimmering Chests when using a Scrying Stone to reveal hidden chests. Grants experience to followers.
• Ancient Reefwalker Bark: Drops from Kelpwillow, Anemonar, Urduu, and Oronu. Can only be looted once per week. Grants a significant amount of experience to followers.

Important: Some of these items are soulbound, meaning they can only be used by the character that looted them. Others are account-bound and can be shared across your Warband. Check the item tooltip before farming.

Extra Tips & Common Mistakes

• Don't forget to summon Neri: You must have Neri Sharpfin as your active follower to see her daily quests. If you have another follower active, you will not be able to progress her.
