Lucent Hawkstrider Mount Guide

Updated 23 Feb 2026 | Author: Invord | ~5 min

The Lucent Hawkstrider is a brand-new Midnight mount that brings the classic hawkstrider silhouette back in a cleaner, modern look - bright, elegant, and instantly recognizable as a Silvermoon-themed collectible. If you like mounts that feel lore-native rather than flashy, Lucent Hawkstrider is one of the most fitting additions to the Midnight mount lineup.

What makes this mount especially attractive for collectors is that it’s a dungeon boss mount with a straightforward target farm: one specific end boss in a Season 1 dungeon. You’re not juggling multiple zones or currencies here - you’re optimizing clears, lockouts, and repetition until the mount finally drops.

  • Added in patch: 12.0.0 "Midnight"
  • Type: Ground
  • Source: Dungeon drop
  • Requirements: Access to Magisters' Terrace (Midnight)
  • Repeat attempts: Mythic 0 weekly per character, Mythic+ repeatable

How to get Lucent Hawkstrider

Lucent Hawkstrider

The Lucent Hawkstrider is obtained from Degentrius, the final boss of the Midnight version of Magisters' Terrace. The mount can drop from:

  • Mythic (M0): Defeat Degentrius in a Mythic 0 run for a weekly per-character chance.
  • Mythic Keystone (Mythic+): It can also appear from the end-of-dungeon cache in Magisters' Terrace keystone runs.
Prefer a guaranteed, time-efficient route to this mount instead of weekly resets and key farming? Check our Lucent Hawkstrider acquisition service - we handle the runs and coordination until the mount drops.

Step 1 - Get to Magisters' Terrace

Magisters' Terrace is a dungeon introduced with the Midnight expansion that is featured in the dungeon rotation for Midnight Season 1 Mythic+.

Magisters' Terrace is located on the Isle of Quel'Danas. The dungeon entrance sits in the northeastern part of the island, inside the Magisters' Terrace structure.

Once you arrive on the island, move to the dungeon entrance and set your difficulty to Mythic before entering (for M0 attempts), or queue your Mythic Keystone run if you’re farming via keys.

Step 2 - Defeat Degentrius on Mythic

In the Midnight version of Magisters' Terrace, Degentrius is the final encounter. Your goal is simple: complete the dungeon on Mythic and loot the boss.

Because this is a mount chase, you should optimize around repeat speed:

  • Bring a fast spec: Mobility and burst help more than survivability in farm runs.
  • Skip downtime: Avoid unnecessary pulls when you already outgear the place.
  • Loot immediately: Always loot the final boss - don’t rely on mail.
Farming tip: if you want the highest number of attempts per week with the least planning, prioritize Mythic 0 on multiple characters, then use Mythic+ as your repeatable “extra attempts” option when you have time.

Step 3 - Add Mythic+ runs for extra chances

If you want more attempts beyond the weekly Mythic lockout, farm Magisters' Terrace through Mythic Keystone runs. Mythic+ is repeatable, and the mount can appear from the end-of-dungeon cache for that dungeon.

This is the volume strategy: even if you only run a few keys per week, it meaningfully increases your total number of rolls compared to Mythic-only farming.

Why Alts Matter for This Mount

Lucent Hawkstrider is a classic lockout-style farm on the Mythic side: you get one Mythic 0 attempt per character per weekly reset. That means the biggest difference-maker is not damage, route, or even group composition - it’s how many characters you can realistically run each week.

A simple weekly plan looks like this:

  • Run Mythic 0 on every geared alt you have available.
  • Keep at least one alt parked at the entrance to reduce travel time.
  • Use Mythic+ as your “bonus attempts” mode when you have extra playtime.

Even adding 2-3 alts turns a slow, months-long mount hunt into a much more efficient routine, especially early in the expansion when you’re naturally gearing multiple characters anyway.

Don’t have time to level multiple alts for extra weekly attempts? Check out our WoW Power Leveling service and unlock additional Mythic 0 clears faster. More alts mean more weekly chances at Lucent Hawkstrider — and a significantly shorter grind overall.

Useful Addons for Farming Lucent Hawkstrider

Since Lucent Hawkstrider is a dungeon mount farm (Mythic lockouts + optional Mythic+ volume), the most useful addons are the ones that help you move faster, track weekly attempts across alts, and streamline keystone runs.

  • SavedInstances: Tracks weekly Mythic lockouts across all characters, so you always know who still has an attempt.
  • Mythic Dungeon Tools: Great for planning quick routes and avoiding wasted pulls when you’re farming efficiently.
  • Angry Keystones: Clean Mythic+ QoL addon for faster key runs and clearer objective tracking.
  • Leatrix Plus: Strong QoL addon for faster looting, auto-sell/repair, and general speed during repetitive farms.

If you’re doing this weekly on multiple characters, SavedInstances is the biggest “time saver” addon - it prevents wasted runs and keeps your lockout plan clean.
