Abundance is one of the brand-new Midnight world events, rewarding players with various cosmetic items, epic profession gear, and gathering profession knowledge. While Abundance is tied to the Amani Tribe faction and Renown system, the event can be completed in all available Midnight zones, so you should check the world map to stay updated. In the guide below, we’ll cover all the details you need to know about the Abundance event: unlocking access to it, its main activities, and the rewards list.
The general part of the Abundance event requires players to kill mobs and gather resources in the event-related caverns, collecting specific orbs on the ground. To start the event, you need to talk to Dundun, the Loa of Abundance. After that, you’ll have three minutes to complete the challenge. Since it’s a world event, you can loot orbs from other players, which makes this task much easier.
There’s also another side to the event called Abundant Harvest. While the basic Abundance can be completed as many times as you want in any location, the Abundant Harvest cavern rotates every eight hours and requires a Shard of Dundun to start. It’s important to note that Abundant Harvest is the only source of the Unalloyed Abundance currency, which you can spend on event-related rewards. You can earn up to 900 Unalloyed Abundance per Abundant Harvest event.
To obtain Shards of Dundun, you can use gathering professions (including fishing), hunt for Midnight treasures and rare mobs, or complete work orders. Keep in mind that you can only earn eight Shards of Dundun per week.
Unlocking the access to the Abundance event requires several steps:
Once you complete all these steps, you will unlock Abundance for all your characters.
As mentioned, you can participate in the basic version of the Abundance event in all Midnight expansion zones. However, Abundant Harvest requires you to check the world map to find the currently available cavern for this mode. Let’s take a closer look at all the Abundance caverns and their coordinates:
First, by completing the Abundance event, you can gain reputation with the Amani Tribe faction. In addition, you can complete the weekly Abundant Offerings quests, which reward you with an Overflowing Abundant Satchel containing some gold and gear pieces.
To obtain all other event-themed rewards, you’ll need to use the Unalloyed Abundance currency, which you can exchange with Chel the Chip. Some rewards also require an amount of Artisan Skinner's Moxie profession currency. Let’s take a closer look at all the Abundance event rewards:
