The first major patch of The War Within, 11.1 Undermine(d), not only kicks off a brand-new season of Mythic+ and PvP, but also introduces the exciting Liberation of Undermine raid — alongside a wealth of fresh activities waiting to be discovered!
In this guide, we’ll explore the central hub of Patch 11.1 — the Undermine Zone itself. It’s absolutely packed with fresh content, which can feel overwhelming for players venturing into it for the first time. That’s where our Undermine Guide comes in — we’ll walk you through everything you need to know, from how to get to Undermine to the unique rewards you can earn by conquering the new location’s challenges!
Undermine invites players to immerse themselves in goblin culture like never before. Within this bustling city, adventurers will uncover the struggles goblins endure, the values they hold dear, and the crucial role they play in the larger story of Azeroth.
The city’s design draws clear inspiration from iconic goblin zones scattered across the world. Its architecture blends wooden structures with industrial metal piping, all brought to life by bold colors and glowing lights. This signature fusion of chaos and creativity perfectly embodies the spirit of goblins that WoW players have come to love.
Besides exploring the marvelous Goblin city and it's secrets, there are plenty of other reasons to go straight into Undermine:
Undermine is a no-fly zone, so you won't be able to bring your fly mounts there or fly directly to the location itself.

The coalition of goblin cartels has united to overthrow the oppressive reign of Jastor Gallywix, and they represent the fifth Renown faction players will encounter in The War Within.
A unique feature of the Cartels of Undermine is the ability to choose a specific cartel to assist each week (on top of already progressing on the common Cartels of Undermine Renown), granting you exclusive reputation bonuses and cartel-themed rewards to earn:

Cartels of Undermine Guide21 Rares - this is the number of unique foes in the Goblin Paradise. Most work like regular rares, but a few are tied to special zone-wide events that spawn Rare Elites. Some of these rares can only be triggered if you’re aligned with a certain Cartel, so who you side with actually matters!
When you take down these rares, they’ll drop Valorstones, and there’s also a chance you’ll get some gear for your spec. You can loot each rare once per day, with resets happening at the daily reset time.
Undermine is also loaded with treasures (16 in total) — each offering one-time loot. Track them all down and you’ll unlock the achievement Treasures of Undermine. Time to get your goblin treasure hunter vibes on?

Undermine Rare Mobs & TreasuresIn Undermine you’ll find C.H.E.T.T. — short for Concierge, Honored Employee, and Transaction Terminal — on the second floor of the Incontinental Hotel. This quirky machine doesn’t just sell some unique goblin-themed drinks, it also gives you a great way to earn Valorstones by completing tasks all over Undermine.
When you chat with C.H.E.T.T. and sign up as an employee, you’ll get your very own C.H.E.T.T. List. Right-clicking it opens a menu filled with all kinds of tasks: from running Delves to teaming up with a Cartel and more. Each list gives you 8 tasks to complete, and every task you knock out rewards 10 Valorstones — not a bad deal for a bit of hustle!
Once you’ve knocked out at least 4 of the 8 tasks, your C.H.E.T.T. List will upgrade to a Completed C.H.E.T.T. List. You can then turn it in to one of the following NPCs:
Undermine brings a brand new World Boss — The Gobfather. You’ll find him in the Demolition Dome arena, located in the northern part of the zone. Defeating him can net you item level 642 gear, rated at Champion 3/8 — so make sure to pay him a visit (and maybe bring some friends)!
Gobfather's rewards include: Gobfather reward, Gobfather reward, Gobfather reward, Gobfather reward, Gobfather reward, Gobfather reward, Gobfather reward, Gobfather reward, Gobfather reward.
The new 11.1 Zone also offers players to complete 3 Weekly Quests which grant a pleasant amount of reputation as a reward:
Scrap Digging is a brand-new activity you’ll unlock in Undermine once you reach Renown 3 with the Cartels of Undermine.
After completing the introductory quests Trash to Profit and On-the-Job Training, players gain access to S.C.R.A.P. Jobs in Undermine. These jobs are marked by trash icons on the Undermine world map, making them easy to track down. Once you spot one, head over and check in with Carlo Greasegrind to get started.
Each job gives you a 2 minute window to sift through as much trash as you can. While digging, you’ll collect a special currency called Empty Kaja'Cola Cans. But it’s not just a simple treasure hunt — enemies might ambush you, environmental hazards will need to be handled, and there’s always some unexpected twist to keep you on your toes.
To make the job a bit smoother, you can find boosts along the way, like special Kaja’Cola that speeds up your digging or the option to hire a S.C.R.A.P. Bot to lend a mechanical hand. Keep in mind there’s a 500-dig limit per job for max rewards — after hitting that cap, you can keep going for more Kaja'Cola Cans, but the final payout won’t increase further.
After the 2 minute digging session is over, you'll receive the Crate that gives Gold, Valorstones and Resonance Crystals.. Your rewards fully depend on how well you did the job.
Your S.C.R.A.P. Jobs will get even better as you increase your Renown with the Cartels of Undermine, unlocking various upgrades along the way:
Both Empty Kaja'Cola Cans and Vintage Kaja'Cola Cans can be used to purchase rewards from Angelo Rustbin, who can be found at the Undermine Sanitation building in Hovel Hill.
