Ritual Sites are one of the biggest new features in the Midnight patch 12.0.5, blending the gameplay of Horrific Visions with Delves in a scalable, instanced event. Like other patch 12.0.5 events, Ritual Sites serve as a primary source of Field Accolade — a currency players can spend on various cosmetic items and caches containing 246–259 ilvl gear pieces. In the guide below, we’ll cover everything you need to know about the Ritual Sites event: its locations, activities, difficulty tiers, challenges, and rewards.
As mentioned, Ritual Sites offer Delves-style gameplay on your way to a range of cosmetic rewards and Champion- or Heroic-tier gear pieces. Ritual Site instances can only be found in Eversong Woods and Zul'Aman. Depending on the week, only one Ritual Site is active at a time. To access it, players must locate a glowing Curious Obelisk — which features an interface similar to Delves — that grants entry either solo or in a group of up to five players. Once inside, players can choose a difficulty tier and, if eligible, activate optional Challenges. In a party, the group leader makes these selections. Every Ritual Site run includes a series of objectives, a final boss fight, and — once all goals are met — a Ritual Chest packed with rewards.
There are five difficulty tiers to tackle during Ritual Site runs. Each requires a specific character item level to queue, and some also require that certain Challenges be both active and unlocked to attempt.

Your end-of-run rewards depend on the number of Spoils you've collected during the event. You can earn Spoils from enemies, bosses, and event treasures. Keep in mind that dying during a Ritual Site will reduce the amount of Spoils counted at the end. The first two deaths have no penalty, but each subsequent death reduces your total Spoils by 5%, up to a maximum reduction of 50%.

Ritual Sites challenges are some kind of the Delves or Mythic+ affixes which make your runs much harder but unlock the rewards of the higher quality. Starting from the Tier 3 difficulty, at least one challenge required for the Ritual Sites run. In addition, these challenges require the completion of the specific task to unlock them. Be aware that you can increase the amount of the Ritual Sites Renown points using the Ritual Site Reports, Ritual Tablet Fragment, and Ritual Tablet items.
In the first order, completing the Ritual Sites run gives you the Ritual Chest which contains Field Accolades currency, Coffer Key Shards, Voidlight Marl currency, and Dawncrests for gear upgrade. In most cases, you will get Field Accolades at an approximate 1:10 ratio to Spoils you collect during the run, rounding down. In addition, Ritual Sites Tiers 1, 2, and 3 difficulties allow you to earn 5, 10, and 15 Champion Dawncrests respectively, while the Tiers 4 and 5 award you with 10 and 15 Hero Dawncrests.
