Ravenous Shredclaw Mount Guide

Updated 08 Jun 2026 | Author: Invord | ~6 min

The Ravenous Shredclaw is a savage void predator mount introduced in the Midnight expansion. Unlike some mounts obtained through RNG drops or rare achievements, this creature represents structured progression through the primary Voidstorm faction — The Singularity.

With its aggressive stance, glowing void-infused veins, and heavily armored claws, Ravenous Shredclaw embodies the relentless forces of the Voidstorm region. For collectors who enjoy long-term faction progression systems, this mount serves as one of the most notable milestone rewards on the Singularity Renown track.

  • Added in patch: 12.0.1 "Midnight"
  • Type: Ground
  • Source: Vendor
  • Requirements: Level 90

How to get Ravenous Shredclaw

Ravenous Shredclaw

The Ravenous Shredclaw mount is purchased from a vendor Void Researcher Anomander associated with The Singularity, one of the main Renown factions in the Midnight expansion.

To unlock the mount, players must progress through the Singularity Renown track and reach Renown 17. Once this milestone is achieved, the mount becomes available for purchase from the faction quartermaster.

Unlike mounts tied to random drop chances or difficult raid achievements, this reward is completely deterministic. Once you meet the Renown requirement and have the required currency, you can purchase the mount immediately.

This system makes Ravenous Shredclaw a reliable mount for collectors who prefer reputation progression rather than relying on RNG drops.

Reaching Renown 17 and collecting the required Voidlight Marl can take time depending on your weekly activity level. If you'd rather skip the grind, check out our Ravenous Shredclaw mount service and let our team handle the Singularity Renown progression for you.

Step 1 - Get to Voidstorm

Before farming reputation with The Singularity, you must first unlock access to the Voidstorm zone. Voidstorm is not immediately available by default - it is tied to a short introductory quest chain that opens the area for exploration and activities.

To start this unlock, travel to Silvermoon City and speak with Magister Umbric. He offers the quest No Fear of the Dark, which serves as the entry point into Voidstorm-related content.

No Fear of the Dark

Once the initial campaign steps are completed, the zone becomes permanently accessible. From that moment on, you can freely participate in the events, quests, and exploration content required to progress Renown with The Singularity.

  • Where to start: Magister Umbric in Silvermoon City
  • Required quest: No Fear of the Dark
  • Unlock condition: Completion of the first stage of the quest chain
  • Once unlocked: Voidstorm remains permanently accessible on that character

The Singularity Renown Overview

The Singularity is one of the major Renown factions introduced in Midnight. The faction focuses on research and containment of Voidstorm anomalies, bringing together scholars, explorers, and combat specialists working to understand the spreading influence of the Void.

Most Singularity activities take place across the Voidstorm region, where players participate in exploration events, rare hunts, world quests, and various research-driven objectives tied to the faction’s ongoing studies.

As your Renown increases, you unlock additional rewards, including cosmetics, gear upgrades, utility buffs, and eventually mounts such as Ravenous Shredclaw.

The Quartermaster for the The Singularity reputation is Void Researcher Anomander. He can be found at the bottom level of the Howling Ridge.

How to Increase Renown with The Singularity

Reaching Renown 17 requires steady participation in Midnight open-world content connected to Voidstorm. The most effective Renown sources include:

  • Completing World Quests throughout Voidstorm
  • Finishing Special Assignments tied to Singularity research activities
  • Completing main campaign chapters and side quests
  • Killing rare enemies in the zone (once per rare)
  • Participating in large-scale Voidstorm zone events
  • Opening Bountiful Caches from Delves
  • Completing weekly dungeon quests offered in major hubs

Renown progress can be tracked through the Journeys interface (Shift + J) under the Midnight faction tab.

Farming Voidlight Marl

In addition to reaching Renown 17 with The Singularity, you will also need 6000 Voidlight Marl to purchase Ravenous Shredclaw.

Voidlight Marl is the primary currency used throughout Voidstorm. It is earned naturally while progressing Renown with The Singularity and participating in the region’s open-world activities. Most players will accumulate a large portion of the required Marl simply by completing regular zone content.

You can obtain Voidlight Marl from several sources:

  • World quests – Many Voidstorm world quests reward Voidlight Marl directly. These are one of the most reliable daily sources.
  • Treasures and exploration – Hidden chests and interactable objects scattered throughout the zone often contain small bundles of Marl.
  • Rare elite enemies – Killing rare mobs across Voidstorm frequently awards Voidlight Marl along with other loot and reputation progress.
  • Weekly activities – Special assignments, weekly quests, and some faction objectives provide larger Marl rewards.
  • Zone events – Participating in major Voidstorm events can reward additional currency while also contributing to Renown progress.

Because many of these activities overlap with the most efficient Renown farming routes, players typically gather Marl at the same time they increase their Singularity reputation. By the time you reach Renown 17, you will often already have most — if not all — of the 6000 Voidlight Marl needed for the mount.

If you find yourself slightly short on Marl after reaching the Renown requirement, focusing on world quests, rare hunts, and treasure runs in Voidstorm is usually the fastest way to complete the remaining currency requirement.

Purchasing the Ravenous Shredclaw

Once you reach Renown 17 with The Singularity, the mount becomes available for purchase from the faction vendor.

The Ravenous Shredclaw costs 6,000 Voidlight Marl.

Once purchased, the mount is unlocked permanently for your account. Because the acquisition is tied purely to Renown progression and currency, there is no randomness involved — once the requirements are met, the mount can be obtained instantly.

This makes Ravenous Shredclaw one of the more predictable Midnight mounts for players who consistently participate in world content and faction progression.

Useful Addons for Farming Singularity Renown

Because obtaining Ravenous Shredclaw requires sustained Renown progression, addons that improve world content tracking and objective awareness can significantly speed up the grind.

  • RareScanner: Alerts you when rare NPCs spawn in Voidstorm.
  • World Quest Tracker: Highlights world quests that reward Renown progress.
  • HandyNotes: Displays useful map markers for events and treasures.
  • TomTom: Allows precise waypoint navigation across the zone.
  • SavedInstances: Tracks weekly activities across characters.
  • Leatrix Plus: Improves quality-of-life during long farming sessions.
