The Rajani Warserpent is a unique mount from Battle for Azeroth, tied to the endgame content of Patch 8.3 and the corrupted version of the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. Visually, the mount features a golden cloud serpent model infused with Rajani aesthetics, making it especially appealing to players who enjoy Pandaria-themed mounts. However, obtaining it requires access to specific phasing, the correct assault rotation, and repeated attempts on a time-gated rare.
To obtain the Rajani Warserpent, you first need to farm a Pristine Cloud Serpent Scale, which drops from the rare Rei Lun.
Once you get the scale, bring it to Zhang Ku in the Rajani hub inside the Vale, where it can be exchanged directly for the mount.
Before you can farm the mount, you must unlock the 8.3 corrupted Vale phase. This requires progressing through the Battle for Azeroth campaign and unlocking World Quests.
You’ll need to unlock World Quests, to do that you will need to be Friendly with Voldunai, Zandalari Empire and Talanji's Expedition for Horde or Storm's Wake, Order of Embers, Proudmoore Admiralty. Once done head to your factions ship in Port of Dazar'alor or Boralus.
After that, begin the Nazjatar introduction:
Complete the Nazjatar intro and continue with Magni’s questline starting from Essential Empowerment.
Eventually, you will unlock the 8.3 storyline:
Once completed, the corrupted Vale and assault system will be unlocked.
Rei Lun can only be found during the Mogu Assault in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms.
This assault appears on the left side of the zone and rotates with other assault types, meaning the rare is not always available.
The rare spawns inside the Guo-Lai Halls and has a respawn timer of roughly 1–2 hours.
At lower levels, Rei Lun can be difficult to defeat solo, but for modern characters it is usually trivial.

Once you obtain the Pristine Cloud Serpent Scale, take it to the Rajani NPC Zhang Ku. He is located near the Rajani hub inside the Vale.

One of the most important mechanics of this farm is the daily lockout. Rei Lun can only drop the required item once per day per character.
This means that using multiple characters (alts) significantly increases your chances of obtaining the mount each day.
Since the drop rate is only around 2%, relying on a single character can take weeks. With alts, you effectively multiply your chances and reduce the overall farming time.
