Pit of Saron Guide

Pit of Saron is one of three legendary Icecrown Citadel dungeons from the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. Revamped for Mythic+, this dungeon delivers a serious challenge whenever it enters the seasonal rotation. As part of the Mythic+ system, Pit of Saron also serves as an excellent source of high-end gear and unique decor cosmetic rewards coming in the Midnight expansion. Pit of Saron Overview

The Pit of Saron serves as the second wing of the Frozen Halls instance cluster within Icecrown Citadel, introduced in patch 3.3. This massive quarry is packed with towering veins of saronite ore, where the Scourge has enslaved numerous Alliance and Horde captives — forcing them to mine relentlessly under threat of torture or transformation into undead. Players join either Jaina Proudmoore or Sylvanas Windrunner to liberate the prisoners, dismantle the Scourge's operations, and bring down the brutal overseer of the pit along with his lieutenants.

During the Midnight Season One, the dungeon is available on Mythic+ difficulty. The Mythic+ timer for Pit of Saron is 30:00.

Pit of Saron Entrance

The best way to get yourself to the Pit of Saron dungeon during the Midnight Season One is a portal located in Silvermoon City at /way 42.4, 58.3. In order you want to find the entrance in the open-world, you should go to the south part of the Icecrown zone (/way 54.5 91.2). That's your entry point.

Once you've proven yourself by completing high-level keys, you'll earn a major convenience: the ability to teleport your character directly to the dungeon entrance, skipping the overland trek entirely.

Pit of Saron Tactics

Let's be honest — dungeon bosses are nowhere near the complexity of raid encounters. That said, we've put together a few quick tips below to help you get ready for your runs. Consider these bite-sized strategy notes your cheat sheet for staying alive.

Forgemaster Garfrost Tactics

• The tank should hit the one of two Ore Chunks using the Orebreaker.
• Use the Ore Chunks to survive the channeled forge damage during the Glacial Overload stage.

Ick and Krick Tactics

• Interrupt the Krick's Death Bolt cast every time you can.
• Quickly kill the Shades of Krick adds ones they appears.
• Don't damage Ick during the fixation.

Scourgelord Tyrannus Tactics

• Player targeted by the Frost Spit should hit the bone pile with a green highlight.
• Every time you can interrupt the Scourge Plaguespreader adds and kill them quickly.
• After Scourgelord's Brand stay away from the Scourgelord's Reckoning circle.
