Phase Diving: Unlocking, Conduits, Rewards in Patch 11.2

Phase Diving is a new mechanic introduced in Patch 11.2: Ghosts of K'aresh, which enables players to temporarily transform into beings of pure energy. By activating the Reshii Wraps, a powerful new artifact cloak, you can shift your perception and enter an ethereal state. This process unveils a hidden, parallel version of the world, specifically overlaying the K'aresh zone. Within this alternate dimension, players can discover a wealth of exclusive content, including secret creatures, hidden treasures, and unique quests that are completely invisible to those in the normal realm.

Engaging with this spectral plane is highly rewarding, offering a host of unique items for those willing to complete its challenges. By finishing the repeatable weekly quest, More Than Just a Phase, players earn Untethered Coin to spend at a special vendor. The most coveted rewards include the beautiful Lavender K'arroc flying mount and the menacing Acidic Void Creeper ground mount. Adventurers can also acquire a full suite of cosmetic armor sets, along with a matching collection of cloaks, allowing them to truly stand out with an ethereal appearance.

Phase Diving Explained

To use Phase Diving, you must first equip the Reshii Wraps. Activating the ability turns your character into a translucent, energy-based form. This alters your perception, revealing the hidden ethereal layer of K'aresh and causing the normal world to fade. While in this state, you are invisible to and cannot interact with normal enemies. Instead, your focus shifts to engaging with unique threats, objects, and puzzles that exist only within the phased dimension.

How to Unlock Phase Diving

Phase Diving becomes available after you clear Chapter 3 of the Ghosts of K’aresh storyline. Handing in the quest The Tabiqa awards the artifact cloak Reshii Wraps and unlocks the follow-up quest Another World. During this quest you meet the ethereal scholar Hashim and the steadfast guardian Shad’anis, who guide you through a hands‑on demonstration of slipping between realities, using Phase Conduits, and returning unharmed. Finishing their tutorial permanently unlocks the Phase Dive ability for your character.

All Phase Conduit Locations in K’aresh

In the region of K'aresh, you can utilize special Conduit platforms to perform a Phase Dive, which allows you to enter an alternate dimension known as Untethered Space. These Conduits are positioned at various key locations throughout the zone.

These platforms also function as a fast-travel network. Once you have physically visited a Phase Conduit, you can then teleport to it from any other unlocked Conduit. This system provides a method for instant travel across K'aresh, which helps compensate for the inability to use mounts while Phase Diving. To assist in unlocking this network, we have an image for all Phase Conduits provided below. Please be aware that the Conduit located on Vanquisher's Wake island is an exception and cannot be used as a teleportation destination.

Additionally, while Phase Diving, you can find a rare consumable item called Untethered Xy'bucha. This mysterious drink enables you to initiate a Phase Dive from any location, without needing to be at a Conduit platform. It also grants the user a significant movement speed bonus that lasts for 15 minutes. You can find Untethered Xy'bucha scattered around Shadowguard camps while exploring Untethered Space.

Phase Diving Activities

Phase Diving is a transformative mechanic in K'aresh, introducing a secondary dimension of gameplay that overlays the open world. Frequent use of this ability is essential for uncovering a wealth of hidden content and challenges.

Within this ethereal plane, players can find exclusive hidden treasures and rare elites. These unique mobs can only be damaged while you are phased, creating a mini-game of hunting spectral foes for reputation and special rewards. A key activity is the weekly quest, More Than Just a Phase, which only appears while phased and tasks players with stabilizing the dimension. Completing it yields 300 K'areshi Trust reputation and 7 Untethered Coin.

Furthermore, the Warrant system in the hub city of Tazavesh offers lucrative bounties for powerful, phase-shifted monsters. These challenging hunts are a source of Ethereal Strands, the currency needed to upgrade your Reshii Wraps cloak. The mechanic is also central to exploration, as environmental riddles like invisible walkways and spectral bridges become solid only while phased, allowing access to secret areas, NPCs, and lore.

The system's importance culminates in Manaforge Omega, the expansion's final raid. The Reshii Wraps cloak is a mandatory requirement for entry - players cannot even zone in without it. Inside, Phase Diving is deeply integrated into encounters. For example, during the fight the raid's first boss, Plexus Sentinel, the entire raid must use Phase Blink to bypass Atomize during the intermission phase, showcasing its critical role in high-end content.

Phase Diving Rewards

A vendor named Shad'anis can be found stationed at the Overlook Zo'Shuul location, offering a unique selection of rewards for purchase. To acquire his wares, you will need to use a currency called the Untethered Coin. This currency is awarded upon the completion of the repeatable weekly quest, More Than Just a Phase. Participating in this quest provides a reliable method for gathering the coins needed to purchase items from Shad'anis's.

In addition to mounts and pets, players can acquire unique armor transmogs that reflect the ethereal nature of Phase Diving.
