Gearing up for the Liberation of Undermine raid and wondering which healer spec will keep your raid standing through the toughest encounters? Curious about which specs excel at handling high raid damage, clutch saves, and mana management — and which ones might struggle to keep up? You’re in the right place!
In this article, we’ll break down the top-performing healers in Liberation of Undermine and highlight those that may fall behind, explaining exactly what makes them shine or struggle in the current Season 2 Raid meta.
Before diving into the tier lists themselves, let's first make clear what all these A, B and Cs actually represent:
Despite Holy Paladin being very weak and Restoration Shamans also struggling, the actual difference between the top and bottom healers have become a bit narrower than in the previous tier. Let's hope this trend continues further!
Mistweaver Monks are in a fantastic spot this patch, offering some of the highest raw healing output alongside great mobility and strong cooldowns. With their Ancient Teachings build more effective than ever, Mistweavers can dish out consistent healing just by dealing damage, making them both efficient and powerful in raid encounters. Their Revival provides a full-party emergency heal and mass dispel, while their toolkit allows them to adapt to different healing styles depending on the fight.
That said, Mistweavers lack major raid-wide damage reduction abilities, meaning their healing has to compensate for that missing mitigation. But with their current tuning, they do just that — bringing top-tier sustain, strong burst healing when needed, and the flexibility to excel in any fight.
Discipline Priest continues to be one of the most unique and powerful healers in the game. Their ability to heal through damage via Atonement makes them one of the few healers that can actively contribute to DPS without sacrificing their role. Their mitigation tools, like Power Word: Barrier and Pain Suppression, are invaluable in progression fights where every bit of damage reduction counts. Power Infusion also remains a highly sought-after buff, making Discipline an easy pick for raid groups.
However, Discipline requires strong fight awareness and planning, as their healing shines when they prepare for incoming damage rather than react to it. If they fall behind, catching up can be difficult. But when played well, their mix of offense, healing, and utility makes them a top-tier healer in Liberation of Undermine.
Holy Priest remains as one of the best pure healers in the game, capable of delivering massive spot heals and strong group recovery when things go south. Their recent changes have boosted their ability to handle raid wide damage, making them more effective in sustained healing situations. With tools like Guardian Spirit for clutch saves and Symbol of Hope for mana restoration, they provide solid group-wide support beyond just raw healing numbers.
Sadly, unlike Discipline Priests or Mistweavers, Holy doesn’t bring much in the way of mitigation or damage output, which slightly limits their impact in high end progression. They’re an excellent pick for fights where sheer healing output is key, but they can feel less essential compared to healers who provide additional utility.
Restoration Druids have made a strong comeback in Patch 11.1 thanks to buffs that improved their healing-over-time effectiveness and mana efficiency. Their ability to preemptively stack HoTs across the raid makes them excellent at handling sustained raid wide damage, and Tranquility remains one of the most reliable healing cooldowns in the game. Additionally, their utility like Stampeding Roar for movement and Innervate to assist other healers makes them a valuable addition to any raid team.
The downside is that they lack a big raid-wide damage reduction cooldown, meaning they rely heavily on numbers tuning to stay competitive. Still, their consistent output, strong flexibility, and solid group support land them firmly in A tier.
Preservation Evoker has dropped slightly in rankings this patch, but they’re still a strong pick in the right situations. They bring excellent burst healing, with Rewind undoing massive damage events and Dream Breath providing one of the best AoE healing abilities in the game. Their Zephyr also gives the group a defensive cooldown, making them valuable in high-damage fights.
However, their biggest limitation is their short healing range (25 yards), which can make certain fights frustrating if the raid is spread too far apart. While they’re still capable of delivering great healing in stacked fights, their effectiveness can drop in encounters where positioning is restrictive.
Restoration Shaman remains a solid but somewhat niche pick. His Spirit Link Totem is still one of the most powerful healing cooldowns in the game, redistributing health to prevent deaths in high damage situations. Resto also brings a wealth of raid utility, however their raw healing numbers currently don’t match those of the top tier healers, and mana efficiency can be a concern in longer fights. While Shamans are far from a bad choice, they require strong encounter synergy to truly shine, which keeps them in B tier.
Holy Paladins are struggling hard right now in Liberation of Undermine. The recent nerfs have reduced their healing output and left them more mana hungry than before. They still bring great utility, including Devotion Aura for passive raid wide damage reduction and Blessing of Sacrifice to help tanks survive big hits. It's just that their overall healing throughput falls behind other specs, and their mana issues make them harder to sustain over long fights. While they can still be useful in specific scenarios, they’re not as reliable as other healers in this raid tier. Until they get some buffs, Holy Paladins remain in C tier.
