Trading Post October 2026 Overview

Updated 04 Oct 2026 | Author: Dmitro | ~7 min

October's Trading Post has dressed up for spooky season, and most of what hangs on the rack this month is meant to be worn rather than ridden. Some of it is new. Some of it came back from last autumn, and a few pieces are ones you may remember from somewhere else entirely. The Traveler's Log, as ever, hands a free reward to anyone who fills the bar.

The catch is the budget. Clearing the whole stall costs far more than one month of Tender can cover, so the real work is deciding which pieces earn their price. Every table below is sorted by price and totaled per section.

Thornshadow Assassin's Attire: October Bonus Reward

Thornshadow Assassin's Attire: October Bonus Reward

October's log reward is something to wear. Fill the Traveler's Log bar and Ensemble: Thornshadow Assassin's Attire is yours without spending a single Trader's Tender: seven pieces from helm to boots, with the back and wrists left to the rest of your wardrobe. Blizzard's flavor line for it reads "For missions that don't officially exist." The bar also drops Tender into your Collector's Cache at set points on the way up, so filling it pays twice.

Mythic+ dungeons are one of the activity types the log counts. If October leaves little room for group content and the log's dungeon entries are what holds your bar back, a Mythic+ custom key run covers them while you clear the solo entries at your own pace.

Thornshadow is one of three variants of the same assassin outfit. The Ravenholdt Assassin's Attire is the base set and Moonlit is the other variant, and both of those sit on the stall at 700 Tender each. Honestly, the free one is the bargain.

Earn it before the rotation: on November 1 the log moves on to November's activities. How the bar fills, where its Tender lands and how the Final Surge speeds up the last week are all laid out in the Trading Post Overview.

October 2026 Trading Post Items

The stall holds 46 items worth 9,260 Tender in total: three mounts and two pets, 23 armor appearances and 18 weapons. Five of them are last October's Horseman's Hallowed set, back at exactly the prices they carried a year ago, and two are former Twitch promotions that used to need watch time or gifted subscriptions. That is over nine months of income.

October Mounts and Pets

All three mounts cost 700. Only the Bilebound Ur'zul is new. The Reins of the Bilebound Ur'zul teach a flying mount whose journal entry calls it "the result of a warlock's experiments in curse-infused alchemy." The Headless Horseman's Hallowed Charger returns from October 2025 at the same price, while the Ghastly Charger's Skull has the odder history: it began as a Trading Card Game loot card and later went to Twitch viewers who watched four hours of eligible streams in August and September 2024. Both chargers change depending on your riding skill and location.

The two pets are 350 each. Archmage's Familiar is the item the official forum thread on October's stock keeps praising, and its pet journal line says it knocks potions and reagents off shelves "for research purposes." The Watcher of the Huntress is an owl from a 2024 Twitch promotion, given to viewers who gifted at least two subscriptions, and 350 Tender is a far simpler route to it. Everything in this table comes to 2,800.

October Armor Transmog

The armor runs from 30 to 700 Tender, and the expensive end is all ensembles. Ensemble: Ravenholdt Assassin's Attire and Ensemble: Moonlit Assassin's Attire cost 700 apiece as the paid versions of the free Thornshadow outfit, while Ensemble: The Horseman's Hallowed Collection is back from last October at 600 with nine pieces, two of them for the head. Crown of the Violet Rose sits alone at 250. The whole section comes to 4,170.

The cheap end is September's basics in a third color. All nine Plum lines, from the Dunecloth belt up to the Sorcerer's Garb ensemble, came in Brick and Aquatic last month at the same prices. Two ranger quivers at 100 match the shortbows in the weapon table. For what it's worth, the best flavor text on the page belongs to the Basic Steel Sabatons at 40: "Stealth reduced. Confidence increased."

The masks are the month's talking point. Each Playwright's Collection holds four versions of one mask for 200 Tender, and the item text bills them as props for upcoming Karazhan productions, with titles like "Little Sha of Horrors" and "Wikket 2: No More Monkey Business". One name hides its contents. Painted Sun Masks turn out to be Tol'vir, which makes six mask families in all, and buying every one of them costs 1,200.

October Weapon Transmog

Eighteen weapons, 2,290 Tender for the lot. Most sit between 100 and 130. The Artisan line is a martial-arts kit: two katanas of different sizes and a sai, with nunchucks for either hand. The Lil' pieces are the joke shelf: Lil' Armegeddon's tooltip calls Play-Blades "sturdy, wood-carved replicas of famous Azerothian artifacts," and Lil' Perdition's warns that it "looks fake, leaves real wounds." The Horseman's Hallowed Blade at 230 and Great Blade at 260 are the priciest lines, back from last October with the matching Bulwark shield at 100. The ranger shortbows at 80 are the cheapest — and they pair with the quivers in the armor table.

Casters hunting for a staff or wand come away empty this month, and so does anyone after a polearm or an axe.
