Midnight Season 2 Elite & Gladiator PvP Sets

Updated 29 Aug 2026 | Author: Dmitro | ~11 min

The Elite set is not for sale. It is a recolour of the Venomous Gladiator armour, locked behind rating and released slot by slot as you climb — the cloak first, then two pieces per rank. Season 2 runs the whole line on the Venomous theme: serpents, poison and troll ironwork, built on the models the Venomous Abyss raid uses, in a tint that only appears on the rated ladder.

Every armour slot is in hand at 1800 rating. The weapons and the tabard sit higher, while the class set bonuses that decide your matches come from Conquest rather than from rank — the same 2-piece and 4-piece the raid wears, scaled for arena and listed below for all forty specialisations.

How to Get PvP Tier Sets in Midnight Season 2

The Venomous Gladiator armour carries no PvP-only set bonus. It shares the class set with the raid, so the 2-piece and 4-piece you read below are the raid's, and the only real question is which road you take to them.

The Conquest road starts with Irissa Bloodstar, the Conquest Quartermaster standing in the PvP vendor row on the western side of Silvermoon City, just outside Falconwing Square. The five slots that feed your class set (head, chest, legs, shoulders and hands) come to 4025 Conquest, and all nine armour slots run 6475. Buy those five, run them through the Catalyst, and the converted piece keeps the PvP scaling it came in with. Patch 12.1 made that conversion cleaner: class set armour now inherits the secondary and tertiary stats and certain cantrip effects of the item you fed it.

Raiders have a shorter road. Two consumables from the same quartermaster promote raid tier into PvP gear, Conqueror's Venomous Varnish for a helm, chestpiece or leg armour and Conqueror's Venomous Lacquer for gloves and shoulders, both landing the piece at 344 inside instanced PvP. Watch the helm. A varnished one gives up its eligibility for extra sockets from Venomous Jeweler's Settings, so spend it somewhere else if you were planning to socket your head twice.

Item level behaves differently the moment you zone in. A Venomous Gladiator piece reads 298 out in the world and 344 in an Arena, a Battleground or War Mode; the Honor set does the same on a lower rung, 259 outside and 331 inside. Crafted gear joins that scaling only once Venomous Gladiator's Heraldry certifies it for the battlefield.

How to Get the Elite PvP Set in Midnight Season 2

Rated wins move your rating, rating fires a rank achievement, and the achievement unlocks the appearance. Nothing drops into your bags. The reward goes straight to your collection, and you apply it at a transmog NPC like any other look you have earned.

The ladder opens with the cloak and then hands over two slots per rank.

Rank Rating What it unlocks
Combatant I 1000 Cloak, plus the Combatant title
Combatant II 1200 Legs and bracers
Challenger I 1400 Gloves and boots, plus the Challenger title
Challenger II 1600 Chest and belt
Rival I 1800 Shoulders and helm, plus the Rival title
Rival II 1950 Illusion: Venomcoil
Duelist 2100 Venomous Gladiator's Prestigious Cloak, the weapon appearances, plus the Duelist title
Elite 2300 Venomous Gladiator's Tabard, plus the title the Elite

Shoulders and helm are the last two armour pieces to drop, which is why 1800 is the number the whole climb is really about. The names invite one mistake worth heading off early — the Elite armour set does not need Elite rank, it needs Rival I. Duelist and Elite sit above it and pay in cosmetics of a different kind. Soryn stands in the same vendor row and sells all seventeen weapon appearances for Mark of Honor once Duelist is behind you.

Rating carries a buffer nobody advertises. You hold a rank until you fall a full 25 points under it, so 1790 is still Rival I, and the unlock itself never reverses once the achievement fires. All five brackets share the one ladder: 2v2, 3v3, Rated Battlegrounds, Solo Shuffle and Battleground Blitz run identical thresholds, so climb in whichever queue your class and your schedule survive best. One deadline is real — the Venomous look stops being earnable when Season 2 closes, and the ranks reset with it.

Important Note: set bonuses do not land in PvP at their tooltip strength. Each individual effect carries its own PvP multiplier, and 0.5 is the commonest value by a wide margin, meaning that effect works at half force against players. Plenty sit at full value, and a handful are hand-tuned outright: Fire Mage's 4-piece reads 20% cast time reduction and 25% damage, but in PvP combat those become 30% and 5%. Every bonus listed below is printed at its tooltip value.

Death Knight Midnight Season 2 Elite PvP Set

The Death Knight set is Baleful Grave-Knight's Crucible. All three specialisations build around consuming something: Blood stacks and spends Blood Debt, Frost stacks Freezing Tempest off Remorseless Winter ticks, and Unholy rewrites what its undead casters throw.

Blood

  • 2-Piece: When you Death Strike, gain a stack of Blood Debt, increasing Strength by 0.5%, up to 5.0%. When Blood Debt reaches 10 stacks, your next Marrowrend consumes it granting 10% Strength for 10 sec.
  • 4-Piece: When consuming Blood Debt, your next Marrowrend generates 3 additional Boneshield and deals Shadow damage to your target, plus splash damage to nearby enemies.

Frost

Unholy

Demon Hunter Midnight Season 2 Elite PvP Set

Demon Hunter wears Abyssal Doomhound's Pursuit. Devourer gets the new toy this season, a chance to turn Consume into an instant Soulburst; Havoc and Vengeance sharpen tools they already had, Essence Break and Sigil of Flame respectively.

Havoc

Vengeance

Druid Midnight Season 2 Elite PvP Set

Druid gets Bark of the Enigmatic Dreamwatcher, and it is the one set in the season where all four specialisations pull in genuinely different directions. Balance leans on Eclipse uptime, Feral extends its cooldown window, Guardian turns Thrash into a Mangle setup, and Restoration builds the whole thing around Genesis procs.

Balance

  • 2-Piece: Starsurge damage increased by 20%. Starfall also deals Astral damage instantly to all valid enemies in range when cast.
  • 4-Piece: Your damage is increased by 10% while in any Eclipse. This bonus wanes to 2% at the midpoint of the Eclipse, then waxes back to 10% at the end.

Feral

Guardian

  • 2-Piece: Thrash has a 20% chance to make your next Mangle deal 100% increased damage.
  • 4-Piece: Thrash calls up 3 thorns, each impaling a target for Nature damage and splashing more onto up to 5 nearby enemies, and extends Incarnation: Guardian of Ursoc or Berserk by 0.5 sec, up to 5.0 sec.

Restoration

  • 2-Piece: Rejuvenation has a 15% chance to grant Genesis, causing all your heal over time effects to heal for 15% more for 8 sec. Multiple applications may overlap.

Evoker Midnight Season 2 Elite PvP Set

Evoker wears Echo of Calamity, shown below from two angles per tint because the wing and scale work reads differently front and back. Devastation gets a free maximum-empower Shattering Star, Preservation gets extra Living Flames off Essence Burst, and Augmentation gets a much shorter Upheaval cooldown.

Devastation

  • 2-Piece: Shattering Star's damage is increased by 50%, and it always casts as if you had reached maximum empower level.
  • 4-Piece: Causality reduces the remaining cooldown of your empower spells by an additional 0.1 sec each time the effect occurs. Eternity Surge deals 10% increased damage.

  • 4-Piece: Ignited Keg Smashes cause enemies struck to take 8% increased damage from your Physical abilities, and leave a patch of flames on the ground dealing Fire damage each second for 5 sec.

  • 4-Piece: Rising Sun Kick and Rushing Wind Kick have a chance to cause their next cast to ignore their cooldown and reduce their mana cost by 100%.

Windwalker

Every appearance on this page is gated behind rating, and the last two armour slots sit at 1800. If your climb has stalled short of the rank you want, a rating push covers any target across 2v2, 3v3 and Solo Shuffle.
