The toughest thing about obtaining A Tour of Towers achievement is not the actual Mage Tower scenarios, but the necessity to prepare several characters in order to beat all 7 challenges in a single week. Time is your enemy in this enterpise since Legion Timewalking events occurs once every 4 months and lasts only a week. This is why it is very important to have all your characters prepared before the Timewalking event starts if you want to get A Tour of Towers within a single event.

You don't have to prepare 7 different characters since every Mage Tower challenge can be done by several specs. The absolute minimum number of characters needed to complete A Tour of Towers achievement is 3 characters: that is, for example, Death Knight, Paladin and Hunter. In worst-case scenario you won't need to prepare more than 3 characters no matter what classes you've already got.
