Metamorphosis rune can be placed in the gloves rune slot for Warlocks. This rune will grant you the ability to transform into a Demon, increasing your armor, reducing the chance you will be critically hit, increasing your threat by 100%, increasing mana gained from Life Tap by 100%, transforming the functionality of some of your abilities into more suitable for tanking and granting some new abilities too. This is the primary rune to be able to Tank in dungeons and raids as a Warlock. Without it, you will be useless as Warlock Tank.

To get WoW SoD Metamorphosis Rune, you will need to complete a long quest chain, same for both factions:

• 1. Receive The Orb of Soran'ruk from Doan Karhan in South Barrens (49, 57). This will require you to obtain x3 Soran'ruk Fragment that dropped from Twilight Acolyte with 10% drop chance, inside Blackfathom Deeps raid or from mobs infront of BFD raid in Northwestern Ashenvale, and x1 Large Soran'ruk Fragment that dropped from Shadowfang Darksoul with 1% drop chance, inside Shadowfang Keep dungeon. Once you have looted these items return to Doan Karhan and turn the quest in.
• 2. Recieve the follow-up quest Rumors Abound. You will need to find Rune of Orb of Des and Bough of Altek.
• Rune of Orb of Des can be found at the top of the Tower of the Ilgalar in Redridge Mountains. This will either require a group, or very particular pet management to lure the elite away while you loot. Bough of Altek can be found at the top of the Tower of Althalaxx in Darkshore. Again, this will either require a group, or very particular pet management to lure the elite away while you loot. After you collect both items, return to Doan Karhan in South Barrens and turn the quest in.
• 3. Accept the follow-up quest The Conjuring. This will require you to loot x10 Blood of the Legion. Blood of the Legion can be dropped from Mannoroc Lasher, Searing Infernal, Felguard, and Legion Hound at Felfire Canyon, South-East Ashenvale (84, 75).
• After obtaining the blood, locate the altar in Demon Fall Ridge south of Felfire Canyon. The altar is near the obelisk dedicated to Grommash Hellscream. You will click on this altar to begin a summoning ritual, waves of demons must be defeated while standing inside the summoning circle. After you complete the waves of demons, Mysterious Traveler will appear from the portal.
• 4. Receive Mysterious Traveler from Mysterious Traveler. This will require you to report back to Doan Karhan in South Barrens. Return to the Barrens and turn in the quest to receive the final step, Raszel Ander which will grant you Metamorphosis. You've done it!
