What is Fyrakk Assaults?

Fyrakk Assaults are world events happening at Suffusion Camps in the Azure Span and Ohn'ahran Plains that you can complete for loot, Drake's Shadowflame Crest, used to upgrade gear to ilvl 424, and other rewards. The Fyrakk Assault stays in the area for the entire day, even after the main goons are defeated, to ensure people have plenty of time to join in and complete their quests.

Once you approach the area assaulted by Fyrakk, the atmosphere will change dramatically, with the skies turning fiery orange and the area surrounded by Primalist forces. It is a striking change, especially when compared to more cool-colored areas like the snowy plains of the Azure Span. One of the main activities in a Fyrakk Assault is the world quest associated with it, which requires you to collect materials to summon and defeat stronger primalist forces, like Suffusion Camp: Cinderwind:

• Collect Ward of Igira from killing normal Primalist mobs in the assault area;
• Use 5 Ward of Igira at Suffusion Crucibles scattered around the assault area to summon Elite mobs - These will drop Ward of Fyrakk;
• Use 5 Ward of Fyrakk at the Suffusion Mold to summon the Forgemaster responsible for the assault. This will also give you an Everburning Key;
• Killing the Forgemaster ends the World Quest;
• Collecting 3 Everburning Key allows you to open a Supply Chest in the assault area, granting more loot.

Every now and then, you might notice a progression bar appearing on top of the screen, that is indicates a direct Fyrakk strike is coming!

This bar is increased by slaying Elite proto-drakes and Elite mobs in the assault area, and when the bar is full, Fyrakk starts ravaging the zone, much like Deathwing did back in Cataclysm. Fyrakk slowly flies through the zone and eventually hits the assault area. Getting caught in Fyrakk's blazing aura and dying to it grants the achievement Still Standing in the Fire. Fyrakk flies through the assault zone, and will drop his disciple responsible for the assault, which can be killed for loot.

Fyrakk Assaults Rewards

You will receive rewards from participating in Fyrakk Assault World Event, including Suffused gear and Shadowflame Crests from the new gear upgrading system in 10.1.

• Completing the assault world quest gives an ilvl 411 piece of gear and 5 Drake's Shadowflame Crest Fragment.
• Killing Fyrakk's disciple after a Fyrakk strike gives an ilvl 402+ piece of gear and 6 Drake's Shadowflame Crest Fragment. You also can create Drake's Shadowflame Crest with x15 Drake's Shadowflame Crest Fragment gained during Fyrakk Assaults.
• Killing the disciple for the first time drops an item that starts a quest that awards a Drake's Shadowflame Crest.
• Daily quests available at the assault area can give ilvl 385 gear.
• The chests opened with Everburning Key drops gold, Flightstones, Drake's Shadowflame Crest Fragment, Drake's Shadowflame Crest Fragment and 402-408 ilvl gear.
