Wastewander Skyterror Mount Guide

Updated 24 May 2026 | Author: Invord | ~10 min

The Wastewander Skyterror is a savage, sun‑bleached pterrordax that soars above the corrupted sands of Uldum. Its leathery wings, razor‑sharp beak, and piercing yellow eyes make it a favourite among collectors who adore dinosaur‑themed flying mounts. The in‑game flavour text warns of its deadly nature: “Doubting a Wastewander Skyterror's capabilities is a quick way to find yourself missing a limb.” This mount is not a random drop or a rare spawn — it is a guaranteed reward for reaching Exalted reputation with the Uldum Accord, a faction introduced in patch 8.3 “Visions of N’Zoth”.

For collectors who prefer predictable, grind‑based rewards over low‑drop‑rate RNG, the Wastewander Skyterror is an ideal target. The journey to Exalted requires dedication — completing daily quests, assault events, and optional reputation bonuses — but the outcome is guaranteed. Once you reach Exalted, you can purchase this magnificent pterrordax from a vendor for a modest gold cost. Unlike many Battle for Azeroth mounts, this one is account‑wide once learned, making it a valuable addition to any collection, especially for players who enjoy flying mounts with a primal, desert‑worn aesthetic.

  • Added in patch: 8.3.0 “Visions of N’Zoth”
  • Mount type: Flying
  • Source: Reputation vendor
  • Requirements: Level 50, Exalted with Uldum Accord
  • Cost: 24,000 gold (reduced by reputation discounts)
  • Repeat attempts: Guaranteed purchase once Exalted

How to Get Wastewander Skyterror

Wastewander Skyterror

The Wastewander Skyterror is purchased from Provisioner Qorra in the 8.3 phase of Uldum after reaching Exalted reputation with the Uldum Accord. The base cost is 24,000 gold, but this is reduced based on your reputation level — at Exalted, the price drops to 22,800 gold. Unlike rare drop mounts, this one is 100% guaranteed once you meet the requirements, making it a reliable goal for dedicated players.

To access the Uldum Accord reputation, you must unlock the 8.3 “Visions of N’Zoth” phase of Uldum. This requires progressing through the Battle for Azeroth endgame campaign, including the Nazjatar introduction and the Black Empire questline. Below is a step‑by‑step guide to unlocking the reputation and maximising your gains.

Unlocking the Uldum Accord Reputation

If you are brand new to Battle for Azeroth content, you will need to complete the introductory questline up to and including A Nation Divided if you are Alliance or Welcome to Zuldazar if you are Horde. You will also need to obtain your Heart of Azeroth via the quest A Dying World. It should be given to you automatically when visiting Boralus or Dazar'alor as long as you are not on any Dragonflight introduction quests. If it is not, you can pick up the quest from Earthen Guardian at the following locations:

  • /way #1161 75 15.1 Earthen Guardian – Boralus
  • /way #1165 50.2 41.6 Earthen Guardian – Dazar’alor

Once you have completed these steps, look for the quest The Wolf's Offensive or Send the Fleet, given by Genn Greymane on the Alliance ship in the Port of Boralus if you are Alliance. For Horde, look for the quest The Warchief's Order or Send the Fleet, given by Nathanos on the Horde ship in the Port of Zuldazar.

Complete the Nazjatar introductory questline until Magni Bronzebeard shows up in your camp. This should happen after the quest called A Way Home. Complete the quests Magni gives you up to and including Harnessing the Power.

You should then be able to start the 8.3 Visions of N’Zoth questline with Return of the Black Prince for Horde or An Unwelcome Advisor for Alliance. These should appear in your quest log the next time you visit Boralus or Dazar’alor. You only need to complete up to and including the quest The Uldum Accord to begin working on this reputation. However, completing the entire questline is recommended, as it fully unlocks the other assault in Pandaria as well as Visions of N’Zoth, allowing you to work on other mounts simultaneously.

You can change the phase from “old” Cataclysm Uldum to the updated 8.3 Battle for Azeroth version at any time by speaking to Zidormi. She can be found in eastern Ramkahen at the following coordinates:

/way #1527 56 35.1 – Zidormi

How to Earn Uldum Accord Reputation

The primary way to earn reputation with the Uldum Accord is by completing major and minor assaults in Uldum. Major assaults last an entire week and grant 1500 reputation upon completion. Minor assaults last 3.5 days and grant 500 reputation each. You can see which assaults are active at any time by visiting the “Today in WoW” section of the Wowhead main page. Make sure to select Battle for Azeroth and your region for accurate results.

Assault UI

Completing individual objectives during an assault awards 50–75 reputation. These objectives are marked on the minimap with either a skull icon (for rare elites) or crossed swords (for combat events). They are most common around notable locations on the map, such as the Lost City of the Tol'vir, Obelisk of the Moon, and the Temple of Uldum.

To complete an assault, simply kill mobs or interact with objects (e.g., breaking Black Empire Obelisks) in the assault zone until you fill the progress bar. Rare enemies are your best bet, as they give a significant amount of progress. Once the bar is filled, a boss will spawn. You can see where the boss is located by looking for the N’Zoth eye icon on your map. After defeating the boss, turn in the quest at Ramkahen to receive your reputation and other rewards.

Daily Quests – A Steady Source of Reputation

The other main way to earn reputation is by completing daily quests. These can be picked up from King Phaoris and High Commander Kamses in the main building of northern Ramkahen. Each day, you should receive 3–4 daily quests, each awarding 150 reputation. These quests typically involve killing a certain number of enemies, collecting items, or interacting with objects in the assault zones. They are quick and efficient, making them a reliable part of your daily routine.

Other Methods to Boost Reputation

There are two short questlines in Uldum that also grant reputation with the Uldum Accord:

  • The first starts with Eyes on the Amathet, given by High Explorer Dellorah in the main building of Ramkahen. This questline is available regardless of the active assault.
  • The second, Word from Orsis, requires the Aqir minor assault to be active — otherwise it will not be available. It can be picked up from Arik Scorpidsting near the Obelisk of the Moon (right near the letter “m” of “moon” on the map).

Additionally, you can purchase a Contract: Uldum Accord from the Auction House. This contract requires Friendly reputation to use and lasts for one week. While active, you will earn 10 reputation with the Uldum Accord every time you complete a world quest on Kul Tiras or Zandalar. This is a passive way to accumulate reputation while doing other activities, and it is highly recommended for anyone serious about reaching Exalted quickly.

Accelerating Reputation Gains – Buffs and Bonuses

As there are limited ways to earn reputation each day, it is essential to take advantage of reputation buffs whenever possible. Below are the most effective bonuses:

  • Darkmoon Faire: The Darkmoon Faire is in town starting on the first Sunday of every month. You can ride the rollercoaster or carousel to gain the WHEE! buff, which increases reputation (and experience) gains by 10% for 60 minutes. You can also buy a Darkmoon Top Hat for 10 Darkmoon Prize Tickets to apply this buff without travelling to the Faire.
  • Human Racial Trait: Human characters have the Diplomacy racial, which increases all reputation gains by 10%. If you are farming reputation on a Human character, this bonus applies to every source.
  • Timewalking Events – Sign of Azeroth: While the Battle for Azeroth Timewalking Event is active, you will gain the Sign of Azeroth buff, granting 50% bonus reputation from quests and creature kills. This is the most powerful reputation buff available and can dramatically shorten your grind. Plan your reputation farming around these events when possible.

Pro tip: Stack multiple buffs when possible. For example, a Human character during BFA Timewalking with the Darkmoon Faire buff active will earn reputation at an accelerated rate, saving you days of grinding.

Purchasing the Mount – Vendor Location and Cost

Once you have reached Exalted reputation with the Uldum Accord, travel to the 8.3 phase of Uldum and find Provisioner Qorra. She is located in the main building of northern Ramkahen, near King Phaoris and High Commander Kamses. Use the following coordinates:

/way Uldum 50.5, 33.8 – Provisioner Qorra

The Wastewander Skyterror costs 24,000 gold at Neutral reputation, but the price decreases as your reputation improves. At Exalted, the final cost is 22,800 gold. The mount is bind‑on‑pickup when purchased, and once learned, it is added to your account‑wide collection. It requires Apprentice Riding (level 1 riding skill) to use, making it accessible even to low‑level characters.

Extra Tips & Common Mistakes

  • Don’t skip the contract: The Contract: Uldum Accord is relatively cheap on the Auction House and provides passive reputation while you do any world quests in Kul Tiras or Zandalar. Over a week, this adds up significantly.
  • Focus on major assaults first: Major assaults award 1500 reputation — the single largest source. Always complete the major assault before it rotates out.
  • Don’t ignore the daily quests: While only 150 reputation each, the daily quests take only a few minutes and provide a steady, reliable income. Missing a day adds unnecessary days to your grind.
  • Use Zidormi to switch phases: If you arrive in Uldum and see the bright Cataclysm sky (no assaults, no Black Empire mobs), speak to Zidormi to switch to the 8.3 phase. She is marked by a speech bubble on your map.
  • Stack reputation buffs during events: The BFA Timewalking Event’s 50% bonus is massive. If you are not yet Exalted, save your assault completions and daily quest turn‑ins for when this event is active.
  • Complete the optional questlines: “Eyes on the Amathet” and “Word from Orsis” are one‑time sources of reputation. Do not skip them — they are easy and provide a decent boost.
  • Consider using a Human alt: If you have a Human character, consider farming this reputation on them for the passive 10% Diplomacy bonus. Reputation is account‑wide, so any character can purchase the mount once Exalted is achieved.

Essential Addons for Reputation Farming

Farming a reputation to Exalted is a marathon, not a sprint. The right addons can help you track your progress, optimise your daily routine, and ensure you never miss an assault or daily quest.

  • World Quest Tracker: Shows all available world quests and assaults on a single panel. Helps you quickly see which Uldum Accord dailies are up without opening the map.
  • HandyNotes – Battle for Azeroth (plugin): Displays assault locations, rare spawns, and treasure chests on your map. Essential for efficiently completing assault objectives.
  • TomTom / Paste: Quickly set waypoints to daily quest locations, rare mobs, and Zidormi’s coordinates.
  • SavedInstances: Tracks which daily quests you have completed on each character. Useful if you are farming reputation on multiple alts.
  • Rarity (optional): While not directly related to reputation, Rarity can track the mount once you purchase it — a nice way to mark your achievement.
  • Leatrix Plus: Quality‑of‑life improvements like auto‑repair, auto‑sell junk, and faster interactions — small time savers that add up over a long reputation grind.

Pro tip: Use SavedInstances to keep a log of your daily quest completion. It is easy to forget which quests you have already done, especially if you take a break mid‑grind.

The Uldum Accord reputation grind requires weeks of daily quests and assault completions. For players who prefer a guaranteed outcome without the daily commitment, a professionally managed Wastewander Skyterror acquisition service offers a structured alternative to manual reputation farming.
