Horrific Visions are back with a vengeance in The War Within Patch 11.1.5 – and they’re more rewarding than ever. Players can once again brave these twisted city streets (solo or with up to 4 friends) to test their sanity against N’Zoth’s forces. Blizzard has cranked up the challenge with new difficulty modes and layered on fresh incentive to dive in. We’re talking heaps of collectible goodies, and a slew of progression twists that make these visions feel both nostalgic and also brand new. If you thought you’d seen it all back in BFA, think again as this time, the Old God’s carnival of horrors comes with eight nasty Faceless Masks, no keys required to enter, and an armory of rewards that would make even Wrathion jealous!
The primary currency for the "new" event is Displaced Corrupted Mementos, which you’ll earn by participating in Revisited Horrific Visions. There are several reliable ways to collect these mementos: defeating enemies within the instance, opening clear sight chests, and gathering Odd Crystals hidden throughout the Vision. Each of these activities steadily adds to your memento stash.
A major change from the original Battle for Azeroth version is the removal of entry restrictions. Back then, you needed a Vessel of Horrific Visions for each attempt, making every run precious and pushing players to maximize every single Corrupted Memento earned. In the Revisited event, however, there’s no limit to how often you can enter — so you can take your time, experiment with routes, and focus on farming at your own pace.
To earn rewards in Revisited Horrific Visions, you’ll need to complete specific objectives as you progress through each run. The "Main Objective" involves defeating the key boss — either Alleria Windrunner (in Stormwind Cathedral) or Thrall (in Orgrimmar’s Valley of Strength). If you don’t manage to take down the final boss, a consolation chest with a small amount of Displaced Corrupted Mementos will still appear at their location. The two "Corrupted Areas" are the middle wings: Dwarven District and Trade District in Stormwind, or the Valley of Spirits and The Drag in Orgrimmar, while the "Lost Areas" refer to the final wings, such as Old Town and Mage Quarter in Stormwind or the Valley of Honor and Valley of Wisdom in Orgrimmar. To receive full rewards from these sections, you’ll need to complete all the objectives within each area.
The primary method of acquiring Displaced Corrupted Mementos is by looting the final chests after completing objectives in Horrific Visions. Below is a detailed table showing how many mementos you can earn based on the number of masks active in Revisited Horrific Visions:
There are four vendors in Dornogal who accept Displaced Corrupted Mementos. You’ll find them near the Horrific Visions hub, just south of the Coreway tunnel entrance:
Many of the Horrific Visions rewards can be purchased directly from these vendors, while some are earned through achievements, and others require a bit more effort to unlock. Let’s break down all the possible rewards and how to obtain them: starting, of course, with the mounts!
One look at the mount rewards, and it’s obvious Blizzard went all-in on the void theme this time around. With over a dozen unique mounts tied to Horrific Visions Revisited, players can collect everything from resurrected fan favorites to never-before-seen nightmare steeds born straight out of the void. These mounts are more than just recolors — they come with twisted new models, eerie effects, and plenty of prestige. Each one has its own special way to unlock, whether it’s through vendor purchases, secret puzzles, rare spawns, or tough achievements. If you’re ready to add some serious flair to your stables, here’s the full rundown on every Horrific Visions Revisited mount and exactly how to get your hands on them.
This mount is crafted by Jewelcrafters who have at least 30 points in Khaz Algar Jewelcrafting. The recipe, Design: Void-Crystal Panther, is a Bind-on-Pickup drop from Big Keech inside the Vision of Orgrimmar. You’ll find Big Keech near the Jewelcrafting building in the Valley of Honor, but access to him only becomes available once you’re running with at least one Mask active. Only Jewelcrafters can see and loot this recipe.
All the materials needed for this mount are obtained inside Horrific Visions:
This mount is obtained by completing a mini-puzzle within the Vision of Stormwind. Throughout the vision, you’ll find Cursed Horseshoes — one in each wing except the Dwarven District (these are only visible when you have at least one Mask active). Each horseshoe you collect gives you a stacking Cursed Horseshoe buff. Once you’ve gathered four stacks, head to the anvil at the Blacksmithing hub in the Dwarven District. Interacting with the anvil will destroy the horseshoes and summon the rare Void-Forged Stallion, who drops the mount.
Have a look at the possible locations where you can spawn Void-Forged Stallion:
This mount is available for purchase from Torie, who can be found at the Horrific Vision hub in Dornogal. To add it to your collection, you’ll need to save up 20,000 Displaced Corrupted Mementos, the main event currency. However, the mount won’t appear on Torie’s vendor list right away—you’ll first need to complete the We Have the Memories achievement. Once you’ve met this requirement, the mount will be unlocked for purchase, allowing you to proudly show off your dedication to the event’s content.
This mount is dropped by the rare mob Mail Muncher, which can appear in either Stormwind or Orgrimmar. To summon the Mail Muncher, interact with mailboxes found in the same locations during each vision — there’s a chance the rare will spawn when you do.
Stormwind locations:
Orgrimmar locations:
This mount requires you to complete the new version of the meta achievement Through the Depths of Visions. Previously, earning this achievement meant finishing both Stormwind and Orgrimmar visions with all five masks active and fully upgrading your Titanic Research tree — an already challenging task! In Revisited Horrific Visions, the requirements have been updated to match the new systems, but the process is still demanding and will test both your skill and persistence, as you'll need to conquer the event’s toughest objectives.
To unlock this mount, you must complete every objective in the Revisited Horrific Vision of Stormwind with any five Faceless Masks active in a single run, and do the same for Orgrimmar. On top of that, you’ll need to purchase enough Echoes of N’Zoth to research every item in the Hourglass of Horrific Visions, which means a significant investment of time and currency to reach full progression.
This mount is available for purchase from Torie, who can be found at the Horrific Vision hub in Dornogal. To add it to your collection, you’ll need to save up 40,000 Displaced Corrupted Mementos, the main event currency. Unlike some rewards that are immediately available, this mount only appears in Torie’s inventory after you’ve completed the We Have the Memories achievement, marking your full commitment to the event’s progression system. Collecting enough mementos for this purchase requires dedication, as it’s one of the most expensive items offered during the event!
This mount drops from the rare mob Nesting Swarmite, which can appear in both Stormwind and Orgrimmar. To summon the Nesting Swarmite, you’ll need to interact with piles of Trash scattered throughout either city during a vision: these trash piles are always found in the same spots on every run. Each time you search a pile, there’s a chance the rare will spawn, giving you a shot at the mount.
Stormwind locations:
Orgrimmar locations:
The Ny’alothan Shadow Worm is an ultra-prestigious mount, awarded only to those who can conquer the toughest content that Revisited Horrific Visions has to offer. To unlock it, you’ll need to complete the achievement Mastering the Visions, which is anything but a casual feat. This achievement demands you clear the most punishing challenges in both Stormwind and Orgrimmar, pushing your skills and perseverance to the limit.
Specifically, you must complete every single objective in the Revisited Horrific Vision of Stormwind with all 8 Faceless Masks active, earning the Beyond the Most Horrific Vision of Stormwind achievement. The same grueling task awaits in Orgrimmar for Beyond the Most Horrific Vision of Orgrimmar — again, with all 8 Masks in play. Running visions with this many masks ramps up the difficulty to an extreme: enemies hit harder, your resources are stretched thin, and each area presents brutal new modifiers that leave no room for mistakes.
This mount is earned by solving a mini-puzzle in the Vision of Stormwind. Head to the Trade District, on the path behind Inquisitor Darkspeak and up the ramp toward the flight point. Here, you’ll find some gryphon corpses, a Claw Marked Bowl, and a Ripped Note on top of the ramp. You’ll need at least 3 Masks active to see both the bowl and the note.
The Ripped Note reveals that the picky gryphon will only eat a specific Khaz Algar food. Based on the message, bring one of the following:
With the correct food in hand, interact with the Claw Marked Bowl to place the offering, then interact again to rattle the bowl. If done correctly, the rare Void-Scarred Gryphon will spawn and can drop the mount. Be careful: if you place the wrong food and rattle the bowl, you’ll spawn a horde of Frenzied Rats and the bowl will despawn, locking out the rare for the rest of your run!
This mount is obtained by completing a mini-puzzle in the Vision of Orgrimmar. As you progress through the vision, keep an eye out for wolf rider related items — one in the Valley of Honor and another in the Valley of Wisdom. You’ll need at least 1 Mask active to make these Wolf Rider items visible.
Picking up each item grants you a stacking buff called Tattered Wolf Rider Gear. After collecting both items and reaching two stacks, head to the wolf rug at the Leatherworking shop in the Drag area. Interacting with the rug lets you burn the gear, summoning the rare Void-Scarred Pack Mother, who drops the mount.
Reins of the Void-Scarred Windrider is obtained by completing a special mini-event in the Vision of Orgrimmar. Windriders are typically found in the Skyway area high above the other valleys, but the elevators that lead up there are normally blocked by void barriers.
With at least 3 Masks active, clear the Valley of Wisdom area — this will dispel the void barrier and reactivate the elevator to the Skyway. Ride the elevator to reach a hidden section populated by several Void-Scarred Cubs. Defeat all the cubs to trigger additional waves of void-corrupted wyverns. Eventually, the rare Void-Scarred Wyvern Matriarch will appear; defeat her for a chance at the mount drop.
And last, but CERTAINLY not least, the Felreaver Deathcycle, which is obtained by solving a hidden secret that spans both the Visions of Stormwind and Orgrimmar. To claim it, you’ll need to unlock a special bike and gather several unique parts to rebuild it.
First, with at least 1 Mask active, look for the Voidfire Deathcycle in the Vision of Stormwind. You’ll find it in the Dwarven District next to the Auction House. The Voidcycle will be attackable, and once you "defeat" it, its rider, Haymar the Devout, will appear. Take down Haymar to make the Voidcycle drop to the ground, allowing you to interact with it and send it to Dornogal, where it will appear to the left of the Revisited Visions area.
In Dornogal, you can interact with the Voidcycle to receive clues for all six bike parts you’ll need to collect and bring back to the mount. All materials in Horrific Visions are visible with 1 or more Masks active. Once you have assembled and delivered all six parts, the bike will be restored, and the mount will be yours!

Revisited Horrific Visions also introduces a variety of new and returning battle pets, each with their own unique look and theme drawn from the event. Whether you’re interested in filling out your pet journal or just enjoy finding new companions, there’s a good mix of options to collect this time around. Take a look below at all the new arrivals.
In addition to the new arrivals, several classic battle pets from the original Battle for Azeroth Horrific Visions are making a comeback in the Revisited event. If you missed out on collecting these unique companions the first time around, now’s your chance to finally add them to your roster!
These pets each bring their own unique style and personality, ranging from eerie companions to playful critters that fit right in with the twisted vibe of Horrific Visions. Whether you’re a collector or just looking to expand your battle roster, these pets offer a fun way to remember your runs through the event and add some memorable new faces to your lineup.
Horrific Visions isn’t just about pets and mounts — there are also a handful of toys to collect. These fun items add a bit of flair or extra functionality to your adventures, and many are inspired by the twisted atmosphere of the event. Here’s a look at the toys you can find in Horrific Visions:
You can find Coifcurl’s Close Shave Kit in the Vision of Orgrimmar by heading up the ramp to the Valley of Spirits — just before entering the wing, go a little further and enter the Barber Shop building before the Valley of Wisdom. Inside, Bebri Coifcurl will "assault" you with a quick haircut before running away laughing, at which point you can loot the Close Shave Kit for the toy. Using it places a shave kit on the floor that players can use to give themselves a temporary pixie cut. Coordinates: /way #2403 40.5 60.5 Barber Shop.
Overly Sensitive Void Spectacles are a rare toy that drops from Craggle Wobbletop, a rare elite found patrolling the outer border of the Trade District in the Vision of Stormwind. To get the drop, you’ll need to defeat Craggle, but be aware he’s guarded by toy bots that buff him. Using a Toy Train Set can distract the bots so they stop casting their protective buffs, allowing you to focus on taking down the Tinkered Shieldbot, which provides a 90% damage reduction to Craggle. Once the shieldbot is down, defeating Craggle is much easier, and you’ll have a chance to loot the spectacles. When used, this toy transforms all critters and companion pets nearby into fleshbeasts for 10 minutes.
The Rotten Apple toy can be found in Alleria’s End Chest (the main objective chest) in the Vision of Stormwind, but simply completing the objective isn’t enough — you’ll need to interact with Rotten Apples around the Canals area. As you explore, you’ll spot dead trees with clickable Rotten Apples; some will crumble into maggots, while others are actually disguised spiders that run away but return to the tree. Each time you click one, you gain a 1–2% increased chance that the Rotten Apple toy will be in Alleria’s chest, so the best method is to find a spider apple (which won’t despawn) and click it 100 times to guarantee the toy. When used, the toy drops a rotten apple on the floor for players to kick around. The Void-Touched Skull toy is found in the Vision of Stormwind, looted from a Void-Touched Skull located on the ground behind the orphanage building in the Cathedral District, where corrupted orphans are playing. The skull can be tricky to spot since it doesn’t highlight when you mouse over it. When used, this toy starts a hot potato game with a friend, ending with an explosion for the loser. Coordinate: /way #2404 58.9 52.9.
The Void-Touched Souvenir Totem is a toy that can be obtained as a rare drop from Zekhan’s End Chest, which you’ll find after completing the Valley of Spirits objective in the Vision of Orgrimmar. If you’re lucky enough to receive it, this toy lets you place a totem on the ground that corrupts any nearby critters, causing them to grow to twice their normal size and become aggressive for a short time. It’s a fun way to add a chaotic twist to your surroundings, especially when there are lots of critters nearby.
